  • Patent number: 4650739
Abstract: A process for manufacturing materials in the form of sheets, foils or webs comprising chemically, mechanically and/or electrochemically roughened and anodically oxidized aluminum or one of its alloys, wherein the resultant aluminum oxide layers are post-treated with an aqueous solution containing phosphoroxo anions, is performed such that a post-treatment of the aluminum oxide layers is effected by immersion in an aqueous solution containing hexametaphosphate anion. In a preferred embodiment, the aqueous solution is adjusted to a pH of 1 to 5 by addition of an acid. The resulting materials, which have reduced adsorption properties, are preferably employed as support materials for offset printing plates.

  • Patent number: 4555469
Abstract: A light-sensitive mixture comprising a water-insoluble binder soluble in aqueous alkaline solutions, and the reaction product of a naphthoquinonediazidesulfonyl halide with a mixture composed of a low molecular weight compound having a definite structure and molecular size containing at least one phenolic hydroxyl group, and of a polymeric compound having recurring units, each of which contains at least one phenolic hydroxyl group. The mixture is useful in producing printing plates and photoresists and has the advantage that the naphthoquinonediazidesulfonic acid ester contained therein is non-explosive.

  • Patent number: 4530895
Abstract: The aqueous-alkaline developer solution for radiation-sensitive, positive-working reproduction layers contains silicate and a quaternary ammonium base, such as tetraalkylammonium hydroxide; it may further contain a salt of an organic, optionally substituted, aromatic monocarboxylic acid, for example, a benzoate. This solution is in particular used for developing reproduction layers which contain an o-naphthoquinone diazide as the radiation-sensitive compound and an alkali-soluble resin and which are applied to a support material based on aluminum, which comprises at least one aluminum oxide layer produced by anodic oxidation.

  • Patent number: 4424474
Abstract: The present method and circuit arrangement control the r.p.m. of a three-phase motor connected in a star or Y-circuit by sensing current variations in the star point of the motor windings. These current variations are converted into voltage variations which represent the current input of the motor windings. These voltage variations are used to control the duration of the application of the operating voltage to the motor windings for varying the motor r.p.m. The circuit for this purpose includes a controlled diode circuit arrangement connecting the motor windings to the star point and a control or drive circuit for controlling the diode circuit arrangement The drive circuit makes the diode circuit arrangement conductive for predetermined time durations which depend on the voltage variations. These time durations are also manually adjustable in an open loop control, whereby a closed loop control is provided in combination with an open loop control.

  • Patent number: 4287504
Abstract: A warning device with central indication of operating conditions to be monitored in motor vehicles, with an indicator device which is controllable by a monitoring device. The space for representation of the operating conditions to be monitored that is used is that which is already provided in the dashboard console for indication of the information concerning the clock time.

  • Patent number: 4272146
Abstract: A connector for a ring circuit of a bus-system with a plurality of connectable information sending and/or information receiving units, whereby the connector has a housing with several plug contacts provided with cutters, which cutters cut through the insulation of the ring circuit for the contacting and which are connectable with an information sending and/or information receiving unit, and under circumstances with a consumer. The housing which receives the plug contacts is constructed as a connector upper part which can be slipped on the ring circuit and under certain circumstances additional lines. The information receiving unit is constructed with use of a printed board assembly and is housed in a capsule which is able to be slipped on the upper part of the housing. The plug contacts have contact surfaces which contact the connection surfaces of the printed board assembly.
