Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for providing and displaying information collected from a variety of information providers such as an electronic mail server or an information content server. Each of the variety of information providers provides information updates which are captured and rendered in a variety of status images which are provided to a user via a Web page or similar facility. The display of information on the Web page is robust against displays from one or more of the information providers since each of the status images and the remainder of the Web page content are rendered independently.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a network based voice mail system that includes advantages of traditional answering machines. When a call comes in that is not answered, a Remote Answering Device may pick up after a preselected number of rings and play a prerecorded greeting that is stored locally and then prompt the caller to wait for the beep. The Remote Answering Device may use three-way calling service to conference the user's voice mail number into the call. When a conference call is established it plays the beep and then plays the message which is being recording live on the speaker. If a call is received by the network based voice mail system that did net first pass through the Remote Answering Device, the network based voice mail system may synchronize the Remote Answering Device with the network based voice mail system.

Abstract: The invention provides a system and method for publishing electronic mail messages on the Internet. A user selects an electronic mail message to be published and moves the selected electronic message to a designated folder. The electronic mail message is then processed to convert the electronic mail message into a format suitable for Internet publication. Once converted electronic mail message content is published on the Internet and accessible from any suitable browser software.

Abstract: The invention relates to compounds of the general formula wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, X1, X2, X3, m and n have the significances given in claim 1, and optionally the enantiomers thereof. The active ingredients have advantageous pesticidal properties. They are especially suitable for the control of pests on domestic and farm animals.

Abstract: A method for improving video conferencing/calling between participants is disclosed. A video conference/call display window is provided to call participants. The position of the video call window is restricted to a portion of a video display screen which is close to the position of a video camera which is used during the video call. In this manner, a video call participant will be perceived to be looking at the video camera during the video call.

The small device (called a Remote Answering Device) looks just like an ordinary answering machine. It has a speaker, a message number indicator and the basic play back control buttons like “play”, “delete”, “stop”, “rewind”, “skip”, etc. When a call comes in that is not answered by a human, the Remote Answering Device will pick up after a preselected number of rings and play a prerecorded greeting that is stored locally and then prompt the caller to wait for the beep. The Remote Answering Device then uses three-way calling service to conference the user's voice mail number into the call, by sending a hook flash signal and speed dialing the user's voice mail number.

Abstract: Disclosed are compounds of formula I having a strong musk-like odor: In formula I, R1 and R2 are hydrogen or methyl, with the proviso that when R1 is methyl, R2 is hydrogen, and when R1is hydrogen, R2 is methyl. The compounds of formula I may be in the Z- and/or in the E-form. Methods of making the compounds of formula I and compositions containing such compounds are also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention includes (6E)- and (6Z)-isomers of 3,6-dimethyloct-6-en-1-ols and 6-ethyl-3-methyloct-6-en-1-ols and their mixtures. The mixtures are free from their corresponding oct-5-ene double bond isomers. Processes of preparing odorant compositions containing these compositions are also provided.
