Abstract: The 1-(3,5-bis-trifluoromethylphenyl)-2-thioxopyrrolidine-4-carboxylic acid derivatives of the formula I below are suitable for protecting crop plants against the phytotoxic action of herbicides and for regulating the plant growth.The 1-(3,5-bis-trifluoromethylphenyl)-2-thioxopyrrolidine-4-carboxylic acid derivatives are those of the formula I ##STR1## wherein A is --COOR.sub.1, --COSR.sub.1, --COO.sup..crclbar. M.sup..sym., --CONR.sub.2 R.sub.3 or --COCl; R.sub.1 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 alkenyl or C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 alkynyl; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently of one another are hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl; or R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded are a saturated 3- to 7-membered heterocycle which can contain an additional hetero atom selected from the group comprising O, N and S and which is unsubstituted or up to trisubstituted by C.sub.1 14 C.sub.4 alkyl; and M.sup..sym.

Abstract: Novel compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein: the symbols R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 represent hydrogen or methyl, with the proviso that only one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.4 represents methyl, and, when either or both R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 represent methyl, then R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.4 represent hydrogen; and,either the symbol (.dbd.O) on the carbon designated by the number 1 or the symbol (.dbd.O) on the carbon designated by the number 3, represents a keto group, such that when the group is present on carbon 1, then carbon 3 may contain a methyl group.and their use as odorants are described.

Abstract: In order to permit the passage of dust and coarse particles or only the former, and to allow continuous operation, a filter disk is arranged in a housing, in the air flow direction, so that it is rotatable to different operating positions. A diaphragm-like valve can be provided upstream of the filter disk, at the inlet of the air stream in the housing. The filter disk is arranged on an axle which is mounted in the filter housing and has an actuating element for rotation. In addition to the rotatable filter disk, an additional filter disk can be arranged a distance away, the additional filter disk being designed for fine filtration and being removably clamped between two parts of the housing parts.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel, optimized process for the preparation of cyclohexanedionecarboxylic acid derivatives of formula I which can be carried out in a single vessel affording a very good yield, which process comprises heating a reactive carboxylic acid derivative of formula III ##STR1## wherein X is a halide, an alkylsulfonic or arylsulfonic acid radical or the molecular radical ##STR2## which is necessary to form an anhydride and R.sub.1 is alkyl or cycloalkyl, with an alkali metal cyanide or copper cyanide, in an inert organic solvent, to give a mixture, then adding in succession to said mixture, at a temperature in the range from 0.degree. C.

Abstract: A snow glider in the form of an elongated glide plate (1), the upper side of which has at least one stand-on area (2, 3) for the feet of the user and the front part of which is bent upwards in the manner of ski tips. The glide plate (1) is wider at the rear than at the front and in the middle, this wider rear part (6) being bent upwards out of the plane of the middle part (5). The snow glider makes free smooth running on snow possible, changes in the direction of running being effected by a corresponding shift of the center of gravity of the body.
