  • Publication number: 20130003490
Abstract: The invention relates to a kitchen appliance (1) having a mixing vessel (2) and a stirrer located in the mixing vessel, wherein the mixing vessel can be heated and the kitchen appliance (1) has a time selector switch (5, 6) which enables a time selection in respect of the stirrer and/or the heating operation, wherein a pre-programmed sequence of preparation steps can furthermore be carried out. In order to carry out operation as safely as possible, according to the invention the sequence cannot be triggered until an active selection made by the user in respect of the time and/or stirrer and/or heating setting is made, insofar as a stir and/or heating operation is in the pre-programmed sequence, by means of the one or more selector switches.

  • Patent number: 5794524
Abstract: The invention relates to a food processor with a mixing vessel and a drive mechanism for an agitator in the mixing vessel, the lower region of which can be heated. As a simple way of improving a food processor of this type, it is proposed that a top unit for the mixing vessel should have a perforated base to allow food to be steam-cooked. The perforations are formed in a support plate in the base of the top unit and condensation and moisture are led back into the mixing vessel.

  • Patent number: 5749285
Abstract: The invention pertains to a food processor with a mixing vessel (4) and a drive mechanism for an agitator in the mixing vessel (4), where the mixing vessel (4) has in its lower region an opening of substantially circular cross-section. To make this type of food processor more practicable the invention proposes that the cross-section of the upper opening be elliptical and that a geometric mid-point (19') of the upper opening cross-section be offset from a mid-point (19) of the lower opening cross-section.

  • Patent number: 4846426
Abstract: The invention relates to a hang-up and protective arrangement for an electrical appliance such as a vacuum cleaner or carpet cleaning apparatus having a guide wand. The guide wand is equipped with a handle having an end portion with an opening formed therein from which an electrical cable passes from the handle. A U-shaped bracket has respective legs which are pivotally connected to the end portion of the handle so as to straddle the cable. The bracket can pivot between a pivoted-out position whereat the bracket can be hanged on a wall-mounted hook and a pivoted-in position.

  • Patent number: 4785492
Abstract: The invention is directed to a floor cleaning apparatus which includes a nozzle-like structure for a vacuum cleaner. The apparatus is for vacuum cleaning and polishing hard floors and is moved by the operator in a desired direction. The apparatus includes a chassis defining a longitudinal axis and at least two working plates for working on the surface of the hard floor. The working plates are movably mounted on the chassis so as to perform respective reciprocal movements counter to each other and in a direction ninety degrees to the desired direction in which the apparatus is moved by the operator. The plates conjointly define a total depth extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the chassis and work plate takes up one-third of this depth. The other one of the work plates takes up two-thirds of this depth. The work plates have a flat shape and at least one of the work plates is pervious to air.
