  • Patent number: 7676025
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of listening in to calls between two or more subscribers of a communications network comprising one or more IP networks as well as to a listening server, a call control server, and an IP router for carrying out the method. When the listening server detects a request to monitor one of the subscribers, it determines at least one call control server assigned to the subscriber. Further, at least one IP router is determined which is responsible for a network access point of the subscriber to the IP network or IP networks. The listening server causes the at least one determined call control server to acquire call data associated with calls in which the subscriber is involved. Further, the at least one determined IP router is caused to acquire contents data associated with calls in which the subscriber is involved.

  • Patent number: 7123994
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of managing energy consumed by a group of energy consuming devices (31 to 39) and energy consuming devices (31 to 36) for executing this method. Energy consuming devices (31 to 36) of the group of energy consuming devices exchange messages according to an energy management control protocol via a communication media (4). The energy management control protocol comprises an energy booking message type for announcing future energy consumption, an energy reduction indication message type for announcing possible reduction of energy consumption and a granting message type for granting an energy booking message and/or an energy reduction indication. The energy consuming devices (31 to 36) negotiate their energy consumption by means of the messages exchanged according to the energy management control protocol and control their energy consumption according to the result of this negotiation.

  • Publication number: 20050187727
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of managing energy consumed by a group (3) of energy consuming devices (31 to 39) as well as energy consuming devices (31 to 37) and an energy scheduling unit (5) for executing this method. Energy consuming devices (31 to 36) communicate requests for energy consumption to an energy scheduling unit. This unit is gathering energy consumption and/or operational data of one or more of the energy consuming devices (31 to 36) of the group (3). It schedules energy consumption with respect to available energy assigned to the group (3) and with respect to gathered energy consumption and/or operational data. Further, it controls the energy consumption of one or more of the energy consuming devices (31 to 37) of the group of energy consuming devices according to the scheduled energy consumption.

  • Publication number: 20050074106
Abstract: Summary The invention concerns the method of establishing a communication connection between a calling subscriber terminal and a called subscriber terminal connected to a circuit switched communication network, a terminal for a communication network and a server for the provisioning of services to calling subscriber terminals of a circuit switched communication network. A calling subscriber enters a request to access a called subscriber terminal. The subscriber terminal transfers an identification of the called subscriber to a mediation function element. The mediation function element transmits said identification of the called subscriber to an address translation server. The address translation server transmits a circuit switched network address of a terminal of the called subscriber to the mediation function element. The mediation function element initiates a call establishment by passing said address to a call handling function of the circuit switched communication network.

  • Patent number: 6801526
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of supporting the establishment of a telephone call from a calling terminal (TE1) through an IP network (IPNET) to a telephone terminal (TE4) of a telephone network (TELENET1), to a server (SERV) of an IP network, and to a computer product (CP) for carrying out the method. To route the call through the IP network (IPNET), the server (SERV) of the IP network (IPNET) is contacted, which controls the routing of the call through the IP network (IPNET). If the server (SERV) determines that the call is directed to a telephone terminal (TE3 to TE5) of a telephone network (TELENET1, TELENET2), it will contact a server (NPS) of this telephone network (TELENET1). The server (SERV) of the IP network will request from the server (NPS) of the telephone network number portability information about the telephone terminal (TE4) to which the call is directed.

  • Patent number: 6763101
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for controlling the setting-up of a communication connection by a communication network (TELENET), as well as a service unit for implementing the method. During the call set-up a service request message (SR) for requesting an IN service is transmitted to a network server (SCP1 to SCP3) if the communication connection that is to be set up fulfils predetermined trigger conditions. The service request message (SR) transmitted to the network server (SCP1 to SCP3) is classified by a service unit (SSP; LLIN) as essential or non-essential. The operability of the network server is monitored by the service unit (SSP; LLIN).

  • Patent number: 6611821
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of charging for the use of an internet service (SERV) by a subscriber of a communications network (KN), plus a service unit (SERV_IN) of this communications network and a service provider unit (SERVU) which furnishes the internet service (SERV). The subscriber accesses the internet service (SERV) by means of a terminal (TE) of the communications network. Establishing a communication connection between the terminal (TE) and the internet (INT) triggers the service unit (SERV_IN) of the communications network (KN). When the internet service (SERV) is accessed via this communication connection, an additional control connection (KOMM) is established between the internet service (SERV) and the service unit (SERV_IN).

  • Patent number: 6570977
Abstract: A method for setting up a telecommunications connection from a calling subscriber (A) to a called subscriber (B) who is assigned to a numbering-plan area (AREA2) shared by two or several subscriber line networks (KN2, KN3, KN4) of different network operators (OP2, OP3, OP4) as well as a communications network (KN6) and a service control point (SCP) for implementing the method. A call request (CR) from subscriber line network (OP2) of the calling subscriber is routed to the communications network (KN6), which is assigned to a long distance carrier (OP6), and the connection between the calling subscriber (A) and the called subscriber (B) is set up via this communications network (KN6). The arrival of the call request (CR) at the communications network (KN6) of the long distance carrier (OP6) triggers an IN service.
