  • Publication number: 20220366033
Abstract: A first application name is received. For example, the first application name may be the name of the application, a Universal Resource Locator (URL) of a web site (e.g., microfocus.com), and/or the like. The first application name represents a computer application of a plurality of computer applications that the user logs into. A global password is received from the user. The global password is used as a seed to login to the plurality of computer applications. The global password is converted to a phonetic password. A first application password is generated for the first computer application based on the first application name and the phonetic password. For example, the first application name and the phonetic password are used as an input to a key deviation function. The first application password is then displayed to the user. The user can then use the displayed password to login to the first application.

  • Patent number: 11496155
Abstract: A method and apparatus for decoding quasi-cyclic LDPC codes using a vertical layered iterative message passing algorithm. The algorithm of the method improves the efficiency of the check node update by using one or more additional magnitudes, predicted with predictive magnitude maps, for the computation of messages and update of the check node states. The method allows reducing the computational complexity, as well as the storage requirements, of the processing units in the check node update. Several embodiments for the apparatus are presented, using one or more predictive magnitude maps, targeting significant savings in resource usage and power consumption, while minimizing the impact on the error correction performance loss.

  • Patent number: 11475349
Abstract: Systems and methods provide a demand forecasting and network optimization for telecommunications services in a network. The systems and methods use classical and quantum computing devices. The computing devices evaluate data types using statistical symmetry recognition and operate between classical and quantum environments. Computing devices receive deposited data, batch data, and streamed data that relates to telecommunications services and segregate the data into spatial and temporal factors. The computing devices receive an analytic request for a forecast of the telecommunications services and conduct a multi-class plural-factored elastic cluster (MPEC) analysis for the telecommunications services using the segregated data. The MPEC analysis includes generating vectors comprised of slopes from plural coefficients to determine demand elasticity from plural features.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods for utilizing multiple modalities to generate accurate two-dimensional floorplans based on sparse digital videos depicting three-dimensional space. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems extract both visual and audio information from sparse digital video coverage of portions of a three-dimensional space and utilize the extracted visual and audio information to generate a two-dimensional floorplan representing both viewed and unviewed portions of the three-dimensional space. For example, the disclosed systems utilize self-attention layers of a specialized machine learning model to maintain and leverage bi-directional relationships among sequences of visual and audio features to generate floorplan predictions associated with the three-dimensional space.

  • Publication number: 20220322028
Abstract: An audio system includes a plurality of transducers, one or more acoustic sensors, and a controller. The plurality of transducers transmits an ultrasonic beam towards an ear of a user. The one or more acoustic sensors detect a reflected signal generated by an interaction of the ultrasonic beam with the ear. The controller updates a three-dimensional geometry of the ear based on the reflected signal. The controller determines a head-related transfer function (HRTF) for the user based in part on the three-dimensional geometry of the ear.

  • Publication number: 20220303131
Abstract: In an embodiment, processing of biometric data is split between a processor on a peripheral device and a processor of a host device that is coupled with the peripheral device. One embodiment provides a method comprising, on a peripheral device coupled with a host device, capturing biometric data using a biometric sensor of a peripheral device and pre-processing the captured biometric data using a processor of the peripheral device. The processor of the peripheral device is separate from a processor of the host device and resides within a chassis or housing of the peripheral device. The method additionally includes pre-validating the pre-processed biometric data to determine whether the pre-processed biometric data meets a minimum quality threshold and transmitting the pre-validated biometric data to the host device for validation.

  • Patent number: 11451374
Abstract: A first device nonce and a first Hash based Message Authentication Code (HMAC) of the first device nonce using an old password as a key is received. The received first HMAC is compared to a computed second HMAC of the received first device nonce using a stored old password as the key for a match. In response to the match, a third HMAC of a second device nonce using the stored old password as the key is computed. A change password acknowledgement message is sent to the first device that comprises the second device nonce and the third HMAC. A final secret is computed using a second device secret and the first device nonce. A new password using a key derivation function that uses the old password and the final secret is computed. Thus, a new password is generated without sending the password over a network.

  • Patent number: 11445318
Abstract: Embodiments relate to calibrating head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) for a user of an audio system (e.g., as a component of a headset) using cartilage conducted sounds. A test sound is presented to a user using a transducer (e.g., cartilage conduction) and an audio signal is responsively received via a microphone at an entrance to the user's ear canal. The test sound and audio signal combination may be provided to an audio server where a model is used to determine one or more HRTFs for the user. Information describing the one or more HRTFs is provided to the audio system to be used for providing audio to the user. The audio server may also use a model to determine geometric information describing a pinna of the user based on the combination. In one embodiment, the geometric information is used to determine the one or more HRTFs for the user.

  • Publication number: 20220286197
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for the granular network-based detection of UE location in a RAN that includes one or more mobile base stations using quantum computing. Mobile base stations may be, for example, affixed on vehicles (e.g., cars, trucks, drones, etc.), may be implemented by other UEs, and/or may otherwise be non-stationary. In contrast, fixed base stations may be mounted to towers, buildings, or other types of permanent or semi-permanent installations. Quantum computing techniques, as described herein, may aid in the precise determination of UE location using triangulation techniques and/or other network-based location techniques. Further, in RANs that include mobile base stations, the locations of both the UE and a reference point may change relatively rapidly. The use of quantum computing, as described herein, may aid in the fast and precise determination of UE location in situations where mobile base stations and/or UEs are moving rapidly.
