Publication number: 20250081036Abstract: Methods and apparatus for monitoring and controlling access to coexisting first and second networks within a venue. In one embodiment, the first network is a managed content delivery network that includes one or more wireless access points (APs) in data communication with a backend controller which communicates with a dedicated background scanner. The background scanner scans for coexisting networks within the venue, and reports this to the controller. In one variant, the controller dynamically adjusts transmit characteristics of the AP(s) to manage interference between the coexisting networks. In another variant, the controller causes the energy detect threshold of a client device to be lowered so that the device may detect WLAN signals in a scenario where a coexisting RAT (for example, LTE-U or LTE-LAA) occupies the same channel and/or frequency.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2024Publication date: March 6, 2025Inventors: Don Gunasekara, Venkata Ramana Divvi, Ahmed Bencheikh

Patent number: 12213046Abstract: Methods and devices are disclosed for supporting emergency service calls using dynamic service set identifier (SSID) deployment in a wireless communication network. An access point may receive an emergency service call request from a user device. The access point may also send a message with information about the received emergency service call request to a wireless network manager, and determine whether determining whether to serve the emergency service call request based on a response message received from the wireless network manager. In response to determining to serve the emergency service call request, the access point may create a new service set identifier (SSID) with emergency service call capability.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2021Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Assignee: Charter Communications Operating, LLCInventors: Venkata Ramana Divvi, Christopher J. Patent number: 12135712Abstract: Techniques for improving the execution of database queries in a multi-processor system or distributed processing system environment are provided. In a database system including multiple parsing engines (PEs) for parsing database queries, or requests, received by the system and generating execution plans for the requests, execution plans generated for requests can be saved in a global request cache accessible to each of the parsing engines. Requests which have been parsed and cached by a PE can be retrieved for use by other PEs, thereby avoiding unnecessarily parsing the same database request in multiple PEs. The global request cache may be a distributed cache consisting of request caches local to each parsing engine, with execution plans allocated to the local request caches using hashing techniques applied to the database requests associated with the execution plans.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2018Date of Patent: November 5, 2024Assignee: Teradata US, Inc.Inventors: Bhashyam Ramesh, Mohan Kumar KJ, J Venkata Ramana, Anitha G, Karan Kaur Phull

Publication number: 20240330824Abstract: In one example, a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium with program instructions for determining anomalies in machine learning models and impact on business output data thereof is disclosed. The method accesses machine learning model variables for a machine learning model, and determines a deviation in behavior of the machine learning model by performing statistical analysis on each machine learning model variable to identify statistical differences between machine learning model variable data captured in a given time window and data captured in a previous time window at the same time of a prior day, prior week, etc. If statistical differences exist, the method performs anomaly detection to determine whether the statistical differences are an anomaly. If so, the method determines whether the anomaly causes an impact on business decision output data, and if so, identifying a root cause and generating a notification alert for corrective action.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2023Publication date: October 3, 2024Inventors: Rajesh VEGI, Venkata Ramana Rao NALLAJARLA, Ramesh KOPPISETTY, Venu NELLURI, Sambasiva R VADLAMUDI

Publication number: 20240284296Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to enabling direct wireless device-to-device communication between sleepy end devices (SEDs) of a mesh (e.g., Thread®) network. A router may forward packets between end devices of the mesh network. However, if the router is not available, SEDs may not be able to communicate with each other using a mesh protocol. Embodiments presented herein enable end devices of the mesh network to communicate directly, without a router. Some embodiments are directed to changing a role of an end device to temporarily act as a router for a particular target end device. The role change may be based on a trigger event and may be temporary until a target action is performed by the target end device. In some embodiments, the end devices continue to operate as SEDs and use coordinated sampled listening techniques to communicate via the mesh protocol.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2024Publication date: August 22, 2024Inventors: Arun Vijayakumari Mahasenan, Sarvesh Kumar Varatharajan, Venkateswara Rao Manepalli, Yaranama Venkata Ramana Dass

Publication number: 20240275494Abstract: Quantum teleportation is essential for many quantum information technologies, including long-distance quantum networks. Using fiber-coupled devices, including state-of-the-art low-noise superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors and off-the-shelf optics, we achieve conditional quantum teleportation of time-bin qubits at the telecommunication wavelength of 1536.5 nm. We measure teleportation fidelities of ?9% that are consistent with an analytical model of our system, which includes realistic imperfections. To demonstrate the compatibility of our setup with deployed quantum networks, we teleport qubits over 22 km of single-mode fiber while transmitting qubits over an additional 22 km of fiber. Our systems, which are compatible with emerging solid-state quantum devices, provide a realistic foundation for a high-fidelity quantum Internet with practical devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 1, 2022Publication date: August 15, 2024Applicants: California Institute of Technology, California Institute of TechnologyInventors: Maria Spiropulu, Venkata Ramana Raju Valivarthi
