    Abstract: The instant invention pertains to a method of controlling release of active agents or drugs from a silicone rubber matrix by controlling the degree of crosslinking in the silicone rubber matrix. The silicone rubber matrixes of the instant invention are produced from liquid silicone rubbers comprised of (A) a polyorganosiloxane containing at least two alkenyl radicals per molecule; (B) an organohydrogensiloxane containing at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule; and (C) a hydrosilylation catalyst in an amount sufficient to promote curing of said composition.
