  • Publication number: 20210275011
Abstract: Approaches for implementing therapeutic activities comprising visual challenges and tasks for improving visual acuity and stereoscopic acuity for management of binocular vision disorders are described. In an example, the computing device may generate two sets of visual elements with different visual characteristics, with each set corresponding to each eye of the user. The visual elements may be displayed based on values of element attributes such as contrast, size, spatial frequency and speed. The user may then be prompted to provide a response. Based on received user's response, the element attributes may be modified, and new sets of visual elements may be displayed. In another example, visual elements with two images separated by a certain offset may be displayed. The user may be prompted to provide a response. Based on user's response, the offset value of one of the visual elements may be modified and modified visual elements may be displayed.

  • Publication number: 20210279769
Abstract: A mobile device and a server exchange information in response to the mobile device detecting a proximity beacon. Upon detecting the proximity beacon, the mobile device initiates a web service call to the server. A mobile device user will indicate a choice whether to opt-in upon registration. If the user has opted in, the server will retrieve additional information about the user including prescription information. The server will transmit prescription information and other marketing information to the mobile device. The server may be configured to receive additional information from the mobile device, for example, a request for a prescription to be refilled.

  • Patent number: 11115457
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform methods for mitigating HTTP transaction errors for a data connection. The wireless device may establish a data connection over a first network interface of the wireless device at an HTTP layer of the wireless device. A transport connection may support the data connections and may support multiple HTTP transactions. An advisory signal may be received at the HTTP layer and, responsive to the advisory signal including first information, the HTTP layer may determine that at least a portion of the HTTP transactions can be (safely) retried. The HTTP layer may terminate, without notifying the application layer, the portion of HTTP transactions and may initiate, via a second transport connection established over a second network interface, retries of the first portion of HTTP transactions.

Abstract: A process for the large scale manufacturing of vertically standing hybrid nanometer-scale structures of different geometries, including fractal architecture made of flexible materials, on a flexible substrate including textiles is disclosed. The nanometer-scale structures increase the surface area of the substrate. The nanometer-scale structures may be coated with materials that are sensitive to various physical parameters or chemicals such as but not limited to temperature, humidity, pressure, atmospheric pressure, electromagnetic signals originating from biological or non-biological sources, volatile gases, and pH. The increased surface area achieved through the disclosed process is intended to improve the sensitivity of the sensors formed by coating of the nanometer-scale structure and substrate with a material which can be used to sense physical parameters and chemicals as listed previously.

  • Patent number: 11115407
Abstract: A client-server security architecture is disclosed that uses a masked grid, a seed, and mutual unlocking techniques to authentication a client device with a server machine using a one-time code (OTC). The client device in the client-server architecture stores a masked grid that is used to unlock an authentication code using a seed. Once mutually unlocked, the client device may generate an OTC to attempt to authenticate the client device with a server machine. The server machine validates that OTC with the OTC stored at the server to confirm they match. Each subsequent access may repeat the aforementioned steps. Moreover, in a multi-device ecosystem, a plurality of client devices may leverage a primary client device to connect with the server machine. For example, one or more subordinate client devices may connect to the primary client device to then tunnel through to the server machine in a secure manner.

  • Patent number: 11109832
Abstract: Real time strain imaging is provided by acquiring a sequence of cardiac image frames and estimating tissue displacement in the myocardium over a heart cycle. The displacements may be estimated using speckle tracking and are used to calculate strain over the myocardium. A color map is formed of the strain values. During the next heart cycle the color map is warped to fit the myocardium in each image frame and the warped color map is displayed as a color overlay over the myocardium of each image of the new heart cycle as they are displayed in real time. A new color map is also produced over the new heart cycle for use with the following heart cycle. An ultrasound system which performs real time strain imaging is also described.

  • Publication number: 20210271959
Abstract: In-memory computing architectures and methods of performing multiply-and-accumulate operations are provided. The method includes sequentially shifting bits of first input bytes into each row in an array of memory cells arranged in rows and columns. Each memory cell is activated based on the bit to produce a bit-line current from each activated memory cell in a column on a shared bit-line proportional to a product of the bit and a weight stored therein. Charges produced by a sum of the bit-line currents in a column are accumulated in first charge-storage banks coupled to a shared bit-line in each of the columns. Concurrently, charges from second input bytes accumulated in second charge-storage banks previously coupled to the columns are sequentially converted into output bytes. The charge-storage banks are exchanged after the first input bytes have been accumulated and the charges from the second input bytes converted. The method then repeats.
