The mobile device may launch an application in response to receiving the re-direct URI from the server, wherein the application submits a second set of data to the server. The mobile device may facilitate completion of a transaction by the application based at least in part on matching the first set of data and the second set of data at the server.

    Abstract: An on-site consumer at a merchant location can obtain payment authorization and a payment method via a mobile device and mobile application from third-party payor that is not at the merchant location. The on-site consumer can select products for purchase and receive the price from the merchant POS device. The on-site consumer can initial the mobile application and select a third-party payor. A notification can be sent to the mobile or other device of the third-party payor. The third-party payor can elect to pay or decline the request and can select a payment method via the mobile application on their device. The decision of the third-party payor and any payment method can be transmitted to the mobile device of the on-site consumer and/or the merchant POS device. After the completion of the purchase, the mobile application can transmit an electronic receipt to the mobile device of the third-party payor.

A merchant system can receive an indication that a consumer is at or near the merchant location and can check the consumer into the location. A mobile application can launch and provide the merchant system with consumer identification information. While a consumer makes a purchase at a location, the merchant system can select advertising to provide to the consumer on the consumer mobile device to convince the consumer to make additional purchases at the merchant location. In addition, the consumer can make additional purchases from the merchant system while, for example, pumping gas and can be provided with a code or other identify to provide the consumer with access to those additional products once they have completed the gas purchase.
