Abstract: A system is provided for user-initiated authentication of an electronic communication channel using a secure computing application token. In particular, the system may comprise a token generation application installed on an endpoint device of a user, where the application may be configured to perform authentication of communication channels based on receiving user input. Upon receiving a request to establish a secure communication channel from a remote device, the endpoint device may receive a voice sample from the user. Based on the attributes of the voice sample and of the application session, the endpoint device may generate an alphanumeric character string that may serve as a secure token to be verified against a second character string received from the remote device. If a match is detected, the endpoint device may authenticate and generate the communication channel.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for automatically identifying spam in social media comments based on comparison of the context or topic of the popular or trending post with the context or topic of each comment associated with the post. Content of a social media post is processed to identify a topic of the social media post. A plurality of comments associated with the social media post are accessed and the topic of each comment is compared to the topic of the social media post and, if the topics do not match, the comment is identified as spam. A notification is generated for display to an administrator of the social media platform on which the social media post resides identifying the comment as spam.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for selecting content providers based on performance scores of the respective content providers. The system monitors the performance of a content provider, where the performance is based on the quality of service for receiving a media content item from the content provider. Based on the monitored performance, the system may determine if an adequate performance is not achievable. In response to determining that an adequate performance is not achievable, the system compares the performance of the content provider to the performance of a second content provider and provides, on the user device, the media content item from the second content provider.

Abstract: The system generates a validation tool in response to receiving an indication to initiate validation. The system identifies at least one media content item based on a user profile, and generates at least one question based on the at least one media content item. The at least one media content item may include an image, a video, text, or a combination thereof. The system determines at least one answer corresponding to the at least one question. The question and answer may be determined based on a question template. For example, the template may be selected based on attribute types or values of the at least one media content item. The system generates the at least one question for output on an output device. Upon receiving input indicative to an answer, the system compares the inputted answer to the determined answer to determine whether to validate the user.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for graphics processing including an apparatus, e.g., a GPU. The apparatus may process a first workload of a plurality of workloads at each of multiple clusters in a GPU pipeline. The apparatus may also increment a plurality of performance counters during the processing of the first workload at each of the multiple clusters. Further, the apparatus may determine, at each of the multiple clusters, whether the first workload is finished processing. The apparatus may also read, upon determining that the first workload is finished processing, a value of each of the multiple clusters for each of the plurality of performance counters. Additionally, the apparatus may transmit an indication of the read value of each of the multiple clusters for all of the plurality of performance counters.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to an integrated circuit of an electronic device that coordinates activities with another integrated circuit of the electronic device. The integrated circuit includes an interface circuit and a processor circuit. The interface circuit communicates over a multi-drop bus connected to multiple electronic components. The processor circuit receives an authorization request from the integrated circuit via the interface circuit and the multi-drop bus. The received authorization request relates to authorization to perform an activity on the other integrated circuit. In response to receiving the authorization request, the processor circuit determines whether the other integrated circuit is authorized to execute the activity.

Abstract: A cable distribution system includes a head end connected to a plurality of customer devices through a transmission network that provides data suitable for the plurality of customer devices. A traffic monitoring system receives from a customer support device a first data request for a parameter of one of the plurality of customer devices. The traffic monitoring system provides a second data request for the parameter of the one of said plurality of customer devices to a customer premise equipment management system in response to receiving the first data request. The traffic monitoring system receiving a first data response including the parameter from the customer premise equipment management system in response to providing the second data request to the customer premise equipment management system. The traffic monitoring system providing a second data response including the parameter from the traffic management system to the customer support device in response to receiving the first data response.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for generating alternate audio for a media stream. The media system receives media that is requested by the user. The media comprises a video and audio. The audio includes words spoken in a first language. The media system stores the received media in a buffer as it is received. The media system separates the audio from the buffered media and determines an emotional state expressed by spoken words of the first language. The media system translates the words spoken in the first language into words spoken in a second language. Using the translated words of the second language, the media system synthesizes speech having the emotional state previously determined. The media system then retrieves the video of the received media from the buffer and synchronizes the synthesized speech with the video to generate the media content in a second language.

Abstract: Systems and methods for multi-browser viewers are proposed. A multi-browser system may include multiple browsers as hanging windows in a computer display system. Each browser is its own computer process for individual process management in memory and recovery if the process runs into issues. The system and methods proposed herein allow for the multiple browsers to be coordinated as to the information and views they are sharing to help users understand multiple sources of information quickly and in connection with each other. Such a system may be applicable in the healthcare industry, as one example.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for applying behavioral-based parental controls for media assets. The disclosed techniques herein discuss determining a media asset viewed by a user and character actions of a character within the media asset. Behavioral user data is received which includes a user action. A determination is made whether the user action matches one of the character actions. If a match is found, a parental control restriction setting for the media asset is applied and this parental control restriction is stored in memory.

Abstract: Some techniques described herein provide identification of a throughput estimate using a throughput estimation technique that is selected in accordance with an adjustable threshold. For example, the adjustable threshold may be based at least in part on a scheduling rate of a user equipment. In some aspects, the threshold may be adjustable based at least in part on a scheduling rate and a moving average derived from the scheduling rate. For example, the threshold may change over time based at least in part on a moving average derived from a past value of the scheduling rate and/or a current value of the scheduling rate. Thus, the threshold may decrease over time when the scheduling rate is relatively low (e.g., lower than the threshold), and may increase over time when the scheduling rate is relatively high (e.g., higher than the threshold).

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for energy-centric predictive maintenance scheduling are provided. For example, a computer-implemented method may include inputting historical time-varying sensor state values associated with an asset into a data model to train the data model; inputting expected future time-varying asset-independent data over a time frame into the data model; generating from the data model predicted sensor state values and energy usage associated with the asset over the time frame; determining optimum energy usage by the asset over the time frame; calculating energy wastage over the time frame based on a difference between the predicted energy usage and the optimum energy usage; calculating, using the predicted sensor state values, one or more asset performance metrics corresponding to one or more preventive maintenance tasks; and generating and reporting one or more recommended service tasks over the time frame based at least in part on the calculated energy wastage.

Abstract: A system of diagnosing vehicle component health. One example includes a component of a vehicle installed within a vehicle, and a sensor coupled to the component of the vehicle. The sensor is configured to obtain operational data and output a signal including the operational data. The system also includes a communication device configured to receive the signal and wirelessly transmit the operational data to an electronic processor located on a server external to the vehicle. The electronic processor is configured to analyze the operational data via a machine learning algorithm, generate a state-of-health of the component, and in response to the generated state-of-health, transmit, from the electronic processor to an external device, the state-of-health of the component.

Abstract: A seal assembly for a component of a turbomachine and method of assembly thereof is provided. The seal assembly includes at least one mating face positioned adjacent to the component and a seal coupled to the mating face. The seal includes an outer shell defining an interior space; an inner matrix filling the interior space comprising a plurality of unit cells comprising one or more metamaterials, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of unit cells are identical, and wherein the plurality of unit cells are repeated throughout the inner matrix; and one or more support struts extending throughout the inner matrix. The method of building the seal assembly may include selecting a first material for the outer shell and selecting the one or more metamaterials for the inner matrix based on the first material.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to cognitive auditing of client bound data. A computing platform may intercept a request from a user device to an application server. The computing platform may identify content requested by the user device and generate predicted response data based on the requested content. The computing platform may transmit the request to the application server. The computing platform may receive, from the application server, actual response data. The computing platform may validate the actual response data by comparing the actual response data with the predicted response data. Based on comparing the actual response data with the predicted response data, the computing platform may identify whether the actual response data matches the predicted response data. Based on identifying that the actual response data matches the predicted response data, the computing platform may send the actual response data to the user device.

Abstract: Polymer fiber or corresponding fabric including graphene and/or its derivative(s), wherein the graphene including polymer fabric is characterized by feature selected from the group consisting of anti-microbial, antistatic, wicking, thermal cooling, anti-odour, and ultraviolet protection, or any combination thereof. The graphene including polymer fiber or fabric shows several further beneficial properties including but not limited to good/excellent washing fastness, rubbing fastness, perspiration fastness, sublimation fastness, and light fastness. A process by which the graphene and/or its derivative(s) is incorporated in a polymer during its synthesis. The polymer is subsequently drawn into a fiber or fabric, and is capable of being converted into commercial products. A method to improve the aforementioned properties in a polymer fiber or fabric.
