  • Publication number: 20220035757
Abstract: Embodiments relate to an integrated circuit of an electronic device that coordinates activities with another integrated circuit of the electronic device. The integrated circuit includes an interface circuit and a processor circuit. The interface circuit communicates over a multi-drop bus connected to multiple electronic components. The processor circuit receives an authorization request from the integrated circuit via the interface circuit and the multi-drop bus. The received authorization request relates to authorization to perform an activity on the other integrated circuit. In response to receiving the authorization request, the processor circuit determines whether the other integrated circuit is authorized to execute the activity.

  • Patent number: 11236328
Abstract: It is disclosed a method for determining the biological activity of defibrotide, which comprises the steps of: a) bringing into contact defibrotide, mammalian euglobulin and a substrate specific for the plasmin which, by reaction with the plasmin, provides a measurable product; and b) measuring the amount of product formed at successive times, to thereby determine the biological activity of the defibrotide. Liquid defibrotide formulations are also disclosed, preferably water solutions, having a defined biological activity and, in particular, having an activity of 25 to 35 IU/mg of defibrotide, preferably from 27 to 32 IU/mg and, more preferably, from 28 to 32 IU/mg.

  • Publication number: 20220027901
Abstract: A credential security tool may avoid storing payment credentials at online services. Generally, the credential security tool issues authorization tokens to merchants when users attempt to store payment credentials with the merchants. The merchants store these authorization tokens rather than the payment credentials. When a user initiates a transaction with a merchant, the merchant can present the authorization token to receive a masked card that can be used to complete the transaction. When the merchant presents the masked card for payment, the credential security tool can use the actual card information to complete the transaction.

  • Publication number: 20220027694
Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus are provided for light-based authentication of a payment card. The payment card may include a randomized mix of materials. The materials may include transparent or translucent materials. A light source may shine light on a surface of the payment card. Light passing through the card may generate a light pattern that is unique to the payment card. The light pattern may be captured and compared to a reference light pattern to authenticate the payment card. In some embodiments, photodetectors may detect light patterns generated through interactions with the card materials.

  • Publication number: 20220019681
Abstract: Secure access to data within a communications platform is provided on a need-to-know basis. Inputs provided at the communication platform are intercepted and cognitively analyzed to determine context of the interaction and related data requirements. In response, data access rules are generated and/or retrieved and applied at an access gateway. As data requests as received from the called party from within the communications platform, the data access rules are applied to the request to determine if a match exists and, if so, data access rules-based access is provided to the data. In response to determining the context of the interaction, a context access token is generated and communicated to a virtual database assembler, which assembles a virtual database that only contains data responsive to the context of the interaction.

  • Patent number: 11227400
Abstract: One embodiment can provide a system for detecting occlusion at an orifice of a three-dimensional (3D) printer nozzle while the printer nozzle is jetting liquid droplets. During operation, the system uses one or more cameras to capture an image of the orifice of the printer nozzle while the 3D printer nozzle is jetting liquid droplets. The system performs an image-analysis operation on the captured image to identify occluded regions within the orifice of the 3D printer nozzle, compute an occlusion fraction based on the determined occluded regions, and generate an output based on the computed occlusion fraction, thereby facilitating effective maintenance of the 3D printer.

  • Publication number: 20220012316
Abstract: An authentication subsystem receives a request for authentication of a user to access a server. A voiceprint is determined for the user based on recordings of the user speaking. Authentication phrases is determined for the user based on the voiceprint. Based public user data and/or user transaction data, user knowledge is determined which reflects topics about which the user has knowledge. An authentication question is generated based on the authentication phrases and the user knowledge. An anticipated answer to the authentication question one of the authentication phrases. The authentication question is provided to a device operated by the user. If a response voiceprint associated with an actual spoken response to the authentication question sufficiently matches an anticipated voiceprint for an expected recording of the anticipated answer, the user is granted access to the server. Otherwise, access to the server is denied.

  • Publication number: 20210407671
Abstract: A system and method for selecting and applying tag morphing rules and/or correcting malformed DICOM files is provided. The method includes receiving and parsing, by a processor of a medical imaging system, a medical image to determine an originating vendor. The method includes selecting and retrieving, from a central rules repository, a tag morphing rule based on the originating and destination vendors. The central rules repository is communicatively coupled to processors of multiple medical imaging systems including the processor of the medical imaging system and stores tag morphing rules accessible to each of the processors of the medical imaging systems. The method includes applying the tag morphing rule selected and retrieved from the central rules repository to morph a tag of the medical image to be compatible with the destination vendor. The method includes providing the medical image having the morphed tag to the destination vendor for storage and/or display.

  • Publication number: 20210397696
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product structured for identifying potential misappropriation attempts into a technology resource and enforcing a credential lockout. In some embodiments, a system is structured for receiving a user credential associated with a first log-on attempt to access a technology resource, determining whether the user credential matches a stored valid credential, and, if it does not match, performing a misappropriation assessment. The misappropriation assessment includes evaluating and weighting a plurality of potential misappropriation factors, determining a misappropriation score from the weighted plurality of potential misappropriation factors, and adding the misappropriation score to a cumulative misappropriation score for the technology resource.

  • Publication number: 20210392161
Abstract: A DDOS attack preventer implements an unconventional way of detecting and preventing DDOS attacks. The attack preventer receives and analyzes requests from a particular IP address or device. The attack preventer will track various characteristics of each request (e.g., characteristics of the data in the requests, characteristics of the input used to generate the requests, and characteristics of the device used to generate the requests). The attack preventer will analyze these characteristics to determine whether the requests are human-generated or machine-generated. If the requests are human-generated, the attack preventer services the requests. If the requests are machine-generated, the attack preventer rejects the requests.
