  • Patent number: 11452823
Abstract: A breath-enhanced jet nebulizer is configured with a low liquid retention reservoir and a narrow liquid delivery passage to efficiently and efficiently aerosolize small drug volumes with minimal waste. Aerosol particles are directed through aerosol passage for delivery, although larger liquid particles are directed away from the aerosol outlet and recycled to the liquid reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20220294712
Abstract: In general, one aspect, the disclosure relates to a method for sampling packets in a network. The method includes receiving, by a first network device, a packet, making a first determination, by the first network device, that the packet is to be sampled, in response to the first determination: sampling the packet to obtain sampling data, storing sampling metadata associated with the packet, encapsulating, after the sampling, the packet to obtain an encapsulated packet, where the encapsulated packet comprises a bit that is set in an encapsulation header, wherein the bit is set based on the presence of the sampling metadata, and transmitting the encapsulated packet to a second network device.

  • Patent number: 11266795
Abstract: A breath actuated nebulizer for administration of an inhaled medication to a patient is provided with a generally cylindrical body in a horizontal orientation to the patient. Within the body is a Venturi configured to nebulizer a liquid medication in a reservoir. Within the body is a shaft integrated with a baffle and diaphragm that slides horizontally in response to the breathing of a patient. During inhalation by the patient, the diaphragm flexes shifting the baffle over the Venturi, allowing nebulization to occur. When the patient exhales, the diaphragm flexes to a default position in which the baffle is distal to the Venturi, thereby stopping the nebulization. The diaphragm is biased to rest in this default position until the patient inhales again.

  • Publication number: 20210361896
Abstract: A breath-enhanced nebulizer adapted for use in administering an aerosolized pharmaceutical composition to a patient by inhalation wherein the patient is connected to a mechanical ventilator is disclosed. The nebulizer has a Venturi driven by a nebulizer air supply that draws a solution of a pharmaceutical composition into a shear zone where the solution is atomized. The Venturi effect is amplified by the internal configuration of the nebulizer to increase the rate of nebulization of drug. Optionally, breath-actuated nebulization is used, employing a pressure sensor interposed between the nebulizer and mechanical ventilator that controls the nebulizer air supply, such that nebulizer air and concomitant nebulization only occurs during the inhalation phase of a breathing cycle.
