Publication number: 20240156536Abstract: Various embodiments are described herein for a system, method, and device for automated detection of focal source locations of electrophysiological activity in an organ. The system, method and device may also be used to guide catheter ablation of the organ. An electrogram signal can be obtained from a location in the organ, and it can be determined if the electrogram is periodic. If so, the corresponding unipolar electrogram can be input to a deep learning neural network classification model trained to generate a unipolar electrogram classification result in response to receiving the unipolar electrogram as an input. The location can be identified as a focal source location or a non-focal source location based on the unipolar electrogram classification result.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 25, 2024Publication date: May 16, 2024Inventors: Vijay Singh CHAUHAN, Bo WANG, Shun LIAO

Publication number: 20240001258Abstract: Miscanthus x giganteus is a widely recognized bioenergy crop that finds potential applications in a biorefinery for the production of a wide range of biofuels and biochemicals. This disclosure focuses upon the quantification of the total anthocyanin concentration in miscanthus. Hydrothermal pretreatment was studied for recovering anthocyanins in the pretreatment liquor. The optimized pretreatment conditions (170° C., 10 min) led to a recovery of 94.3±1.5% w/w of the total anthocyanin concentration and also improved the enzymatic digestibility of the biomass, allowing recovery of 70.6±0.5% w/w of glucose at the end of 72 h of enzymatic saccharification. The sugar monomers obtained after the enzymatic hydrolysis of the pretreated biomass could be used for the production of biofuels or biochemicals in an integrated biorefinery.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2023Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOISInventors: Vijay SINGH, Shivali BANERJEE, Erik SACKS
