    Abstract: Disclosed subject matter relates to field of debugging in software-based systems. In the present disclosure an event log filtering system, initially identifies input configuration and previous set of optimal event logs of previous version of software-based system. Further, the event log filtering system identifies a new set of event logs generated for a current version of the software-based system. Upon identification, additional set of event logs are determined based on comparison of new set of event logs and the previous set of optimal. Thereafter, an updated set of filters for the current version of the software-based system based on the additional set of event logs and the previous set of filters is determined. Finally, an optimal set of event logs for the new version of the software-based system is determined based on the updated set of filters for evaluating behaviour of the current version of the software-based system.
