  • Publication number: 20170244868
Abstract: One embodiment comprises a system that stores a pre-defined color conversion table and a hash table. The system receives user-defined color conversions for a print job, stores them in first locations in the hash table, and marks the first locations as persistent. The system processes the print job utilizing the color conversion table to convert colors in the print job to the output color space, and responsive to encountering colors in the print job that do not have color conversions in the color conversion table, interpolates between color conversions in the color conversion table to generate new color conversions, stores the new color conversions in second locations in the hash table, and marks the second locations as non-persistent. The system determines that the hash table is to be re-initialized, allows reuse of the second locations in the hash table, and prevents reuse of the first locations in the hash table.

  • Publication number: 20140110545
Abstract: An exercise band anchor system is disclosed. The system includes a bar, an attachment ring, a fixed clamp, and a moving clamp. The moving clamp moves along the bar toward the fixed clamp to grip a structure. The fixed clamp and the moving clamp may include pads for contacting the structure. The clamps may grip the structure with sufficient force to prevent the anchor system from moving when subjected to a force from an exercise band.

  • Publication number: 20110287712
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system for wireless communications and/or data transfer through a sea-vessel hull by means of electric and/or magnetic coupling between first and second transducers located on opposing sides of the hull. Transmit and receive transducers located on opposing sides of the hull are clamped around cables which penetrate the hull and which are fed through pressure hull glands in the hull. The inductive transducers couple electric and/or magnetic signals through the sea vessel hull via paths through the pressure hull glands or via paths through the cables. The system for wireless communication and/or data transfer of the present invention is capable of operation through an electrically conductive sea vessel hull which would ordinarily present a physical barrier against the transmission of such signals. The system can be deployed on an ad ad-hoc basis and is capable of providing high data rate and high bandwidth communications and/or data transfer through the sea vessel hull.

  • Patent number: 7481695
Abstract: CMP systems and methods implement instructions for moving a polishing pad relative to a wafer and a retainer ring and for applying pressure for CMP operations. Feedback of polishing pad position is coordinated with determinations of desired inputs of variable forces by which changing areas of the wafer, a pad conditioning puck, and the retainer ring are separately urged into contact with the polishing pad so that the pressure on each such area is separately controlled. Processing workload is evaluated according to criteria related to the characteristics of the instructions. If none of the criteria is exceeded, a central CMP processor is used for the processing. If any of the criteria is exceeded, the force determinations are made separately from the central CMP processor by a force controller, and the central processor manages data transfer to the force controller.

  • Publication number: 20080016104
Abstract: Policies defining the entitlements to be assigned to a new identity joining a role are automatically generated. An automatic policy assigns a new identity the entitlements commonly owned by a predetermined number of identities in the role, which may be all of the role identities. A conditional policy recommends that a new identity be assigned the non-commonly-owned entitlements associated with the role identity whose non-entitlement attributes most closely match the non-entitlement attributes of the new identity. This may be automatically determined by iterating through a vector that maps the non-commonly-owned entitlements with the non-entitlement attributes of each role identity, comparing the non-entitlement attributes of the new identity to find the closest match. The non-commonly-owned entitlements of that identity are then recommended to be assigned to the new identity, upon approval.

  • Patent number: 6976903
Abstract: A CMP system accurately measures eccentric forces applied to carriers for wafer or polishing pad conditioning pucks. An initial coaxial relationship between wafer axis of rotation and a carrier axis is maintained during application of the eccentric force, such that a sensor may measure the eccentric forces. Such initial coaxial relationship is maintained by a linear bearing assembly mounted between the carrier and the sensor. The linear bearing assembly is provided as an array of separate linear bearing assemblies, and may be assembled with a retainer ring in conjunction with a motor for moving the ring relative to the wafer mounted on the carrier so that an exposed surface of the wafer and a surface of the retainer ring to be engaged by the polishing pad are coplanar during the polishing operation.

  • Publication number: 20050138420
Abstract: A role hierarchy is automatically generated by hierarchically ranking roles in a role based control system, each role including a plurality of identities having attributes. Iteratively at each hierarchical level: each non-cohesive role (wherein, in this case, at least one attribute is not possessed by every identity in the role) is replaced, at the same hierarchical level, by a cohesive role formed by grouping identities having at least one common attribute. The remaining identities are clustered into children roles based on attributes other than the common attribute, and the children roles are added to the role hierarchy at a hierarchical level below the cohesive role. If no common attribute exists in the non-cohesive role, the role is clustered into two or more new roles based on all the attributes in the role, and the non-cohesive role is replaced with the new roles at the same hierarchical level.

  • Publication number: 20050138419
Abstract: An automated, bottom-up role discovery method for a role based control system includes automatically extracting identities and attributes from data sources and automatically clustering the identities based on the attributes to form recommended roles. The recommended roles may be modified by intervention of an administrator. Additionally, the recommended roles may be aggregated by defining the role definition as an attribute of each constituent identity, and re-clustering the identities to generate refined roles. The recommended, modified, and/or refined roles may then be utilized in a role based control system, such as a role based access control system. Periodically performing the role discovery process provides a means to audit a role based access control system.

  • Patent number: 6843707
Abstract: CMP methods reduce a cause of differences between an edge profile of a chemical mechanical polished edge of a wafer and a center profile of a chemical mechanical polished central portion of the wafer within the edge. The wafer is mounted on a carrier surface of a wafer carrier so that a wafer axis of rotation is gimballed for universal movement relative to a spindle axis of rotation of a wafer spindle. An operation using a retainer ring limits wafer movement on the carrier surface perpendicular to the wafer axis. Another operation limits a direction of permitted movement between the wafer carrier and the retainer ring to only movement parallel to the wafer axis, so that a wafer plane and a retainer ing may be co-planar.

  • Patent number: 6752703
Abstract: CMP systems and methods provide necessary vacuum and pressure to be applied from a vacuum chuck through a carrier film to a wafer without interfering with desired wafer planarization during CMP operations. Prior low polish rate-areas on the wafer may be eliminated from an exposed surface of the wafer by structure to uniformly compress the carrier film in response to a force from the wafer on the carrier film during the CMP operations. A distance between, and diameters of, adjacent holes of the carrier film are reduced, and the locations of the holes are in an array to coordinate with passageways through the vacuum chuck. The structure significantly reduces a maximum value of compression of the carrier film during CMP operations. As a result, during the CMP operations the wafer does not deform in a manner that exactly matches the compression of the carrier film, but remains essentially flat.
