Abstract: In some implementations, a unified data repository (UDR) device may receive, from a unified data management (UDM) device or a policy control function (PCF) device, a subscription request to subscribe to receive a data change notification from the UDR device. The subscription request may include a monitoring indication and a report indication. The monitoring indication may identify a monitored data set associated with a user equipment (UE). The report indication may identify an attribute data set associated with the UE and indicate a request to receive a report associated with the attribute data set. The UDR may transmit, to at least one of the UDM device or the PCF device, an indication of a subscription to receive the data change notification based on the subscription request and the report based on the report indication.

Abstract: A first network device of a network may generate a first request for an indication of whether a user equipment is subject to network slice admission control, and may provide the first request for the indication to a second network device of the network. The first network device may receive, based on the first request, the indication of whether the user equipment is subject to network slice admission control, and may generate a second request for network slice admission control information based on the indication indicating that the user equipment is subject to network slice admission control. The first network device may provide the second request for the network slice admission control information to a third network device of the network.

Abstract: A method may include storing information identifying network slices associated with transmitting data in a network, information identifying a maximum number of user equipment (UE) devices that can be registered for each network slice and/or information identifying a maximum number of data sessions that can be established for each network slice based on locations or areas associated with the UE devices. The method may also include receiving, from a first UE device, a registration request or a request for a data session and identifying a first slice associated with the first UE device. The method may further include determining, based on a location or area associated with the first UE device, whether a maximum number of UE devices that can be registered for the first slice has been reached and/or a maximum number of data sessions that can be served by the first slice has been reached.

Abstract: A network device of a network may receive a registration request from a user equipment, and may generate, based on the registration request, a request for a usage limit control associated with the user equipment. The network device may provide the request for the usage limit control to another network device of the network, and may receive, based on the request, the usage limit control from the other network device. The network device may determine a policy for the user equipment based on the usage limit control, and may cause the policy to be implemented for the user equipment.

Abstract: In some implementations, a policy control function (PCF) device may receive, from an access and mobility management function (AMF) device, an access and mobility (AM) policy association request that is related to a user equipment (UE) that is associated with AM policy data. The PCF device may modify at least a portion of the AM policy data to generate modified AM policy data associated with the UE. The PCF device may create, based on the modified AM policy data, an AM control policy associated with the UE. The PCF device may transmit, to the AMF device, an AM policy association message, responsive to the AM policy association request, indicating the AM control policy.

Abstract: A network device of a network may generate a request for a usage limit control associated with a plurality of user equipments (UEs) registered with the network, and may provide the request for the usage limit control to another network device of the network. The network device may receive, based on the request, the usage limit control from the other network device, and may determine a modified policy for the plurality of UEs based on the usage limit control. The network device may cause the modified policy to be implemented for the plurality of UEs.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide a slice management and prioritization service on a per user equipment (UE) device level. A network device in a core network may receive a notification that a UE device has exhausted a quota of available simultaneous data radio bearers (DRBs) and, afterwards, receive an indication that an application on the UE device has requested a new protocol data unit (PDU) session on a requested network slice that is not currently active for the UE device. The network device may identify relative priorities for the requested network slice and active network slices for the UE device; determine, based on the relative priorities, if the new PDU session can preempt a DRB for an active PDU session; and delete the active PDU session when it is determined the new PDU session can preempt a DRB for an active PDU session.

Abstract: A mobility management function residing in a visited Public Land Mobile Network (vPLMN) receives, from a Network Repository Function (NRF) residing in a home Public Land Mobile Network (hPLMN), a network address and/or a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of a home network function (hNF) residing in the hPLMN. The mobility management function creates a network service request, associated with a User Equipment device (UE) that is roaming in the vPLMN, where the network service request comprises the network address and/or the FQDN. The mobility management function sends the network service request to a visited network function (vNF) residing in the vPLMN, and receives, via the vNF, results of execution of a network service by the hNF, and uses the results for handling the roaming UE’s traffic in the vPLMN.

Abstract: A system may include a first core network component. The first network component may be configured to: receive, from a second core network component, a reply which indicates that a Quality-of-Service (QoS) monitoring is to be performed for a flow associated with a User Equipment device (UE); provide information to a third core network component to establish a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session with the UE and monitor the PDU session over a transport network; and send a message to a fourth core network component that notifies an access station to allocate resources for the PDU session.

The service may analyze congestion information of user plane traffic in data sessions associated with a plurality of end devices. The service may include selecting, based on the analyzing, configuration parameters for uplink/downlink traffic mapped to one or more user class values of the end devices. The service type-based policy counter service may provide a policy counter type that indicates a category for a set of policy counters. A first network device in a home network receives, from a second network device, a first discovery message, the first discovery message including a visited network identifier for a roaming session. The first network device sends, to the second network device, a first identifier for a home SMF for the roaming session based on the visited network identifier.

Abstract: Systems and methods for an advanced authorization framework that provides advanced network security and control of network hosted data. The framework provides computerized mechanisms that dictate a control of which data is accessible by particular network components, and which operations the privileged components are enabled to be performed. The framework can allow Network Function (NF) service consumers to discover and request network data that is specific to the operational status (e.g., PCF can request policy data). The framework provides an access scope of the NF service consumer that manages which hosted data is accessible, and to what degree it can be manipulated, if at all.

Abstract: A system described herein may receive, from a policy element of a core of a wireless network, a set of triggers associated with a plurality of radio frequency (“RF”) bands implemented by a radio access network (“RAN”). The system may identify that a User Equipment (“UE”) is connected to the RAN via a first RF band, and may identify a subsequent connection of the UE to the RAN via a second RF band. The system may identify that a particular trigger, of the set of triggers, is satisfied based on the subsequent connection of the UE to the RAN via the second RF band, and may indicate, to the policy element, that the particular trigger has been satisfied. The policy element may output a second set of UE policies for communications between the UE and the core of the wireless network based on the satisfaction of the particular trigger.
