Abstract: A hair treatment accessory for use with a hair styling apparatus includes a substrate base for mounting to a hair styling apparatus and a treatment agent disposed on the substrate base. The treatment agent is applied to one of the hair or skin of a subject during use of the hair styling apparatus. The treatment agent may include a conditioning, strengthening, repairing or revitalizing fluid. The treatment agent may include a conditioning oil. The conditioning oil may include ARGAN oil with or without silicon. The substrate base may include an irregular surface dimensioned to assist in retention of the treatment agent on the substrate base. The irregular surface may include open cells or channels. The irregular surface may be formed through a sintering process.

Abstract: An adapter-converter assembly for use with an electrical outlet is disclosed including a main body having a first, second and third universal female outlets defining first, second and third outlet configurations, and a first male plug defining a first plug configuration. A second body has a fourth universal female outlet defining the second outlet configuration and a second male plug defining a second plug configuration. The second male plug is receivable in at least one of the female outlets and the fourth female outlet is configured to receive the first male plug. A third body has a fifth universal female outlet defining the third outlet configuration and a third male plug defining a third plug configuration. The third male plug receivable in at least one of the first, second and third female outlets and the fifth female outlet is configured to receive the first male plug.

Abstract: A personal grooming apparatus includes a handle defining a central longitudinal axis, first and second blade sets mountable relative to the handle with each blade set including a stationary blade member and a movable blade member, and a drive mechanism disposed within the handle and operatively coupled to the movable blade members of the first and second blade sets. The drive mechanism is operable to cause corresponding reciprocating movement of the movable blade members relative to the stationary blade members of each of the first and second blade sets. The second blade set may be releasably mountable to said first blade set. The first and second blade set each may include a housing for at least partially accommodating respective stationary and movable blade members.

Abstract: There is provided a steam-cleaning device that enables a user to dispense a liquid, such as a cleaning fluid, soap or detergent while simultaneously steam-cleaning. This can be accomplished through a steam-cleaning device having a handle, a connecting rod, and a cleaning head, whereby the connecting rod and cleaning head are connected by multiple joints for ease of use and maneuverability and can be disassembled into several parts. A heating element can be located in the cleaning head rather than in the handle or connecting rod. A removable cap can be removed to enable a user to add water and a liquid cleaner separately to the device. The cap can be used as a measuring cup for the water and is sized to act in a predetermined ratio with the amount of cleaning liquid inserted into the cleaning liquid area.

Abstract: There is provided a showerhead device that includes a shower stem connector, a water/air mixing chamber, and an outlet cap. The shower stem connector includes a water inlet to receive water from a standard shower plumbing system and an air intake opening to receive air from outside the device. The preferred embodiment features an air intake opening located near the water inlet on the shower stem connector. A user can adjust the air intake knob in order to vary the amount of air that enters the device and mixes with the water flow. As the water progresses through a nozzle in the device, the speed of the water is increased by the decrease in diameter of the nozzle orifice. The water mixes with the air and the combination of water/air hits a plate on the inner wall of the outlet cap within the mixing chamber. This oxygenation of the water provides for a better water flow though the showerhead device. The mix of water and air provides for a stronger water flow and a better shower experience for a user.

Abstract: There is provided a reheatable steam-cleaning device (10) that can be used with or without a power cord (30), including a pressure vessel (12) and a power base station (14). The preferred embodiment features a power base station (14) working in conjunction with the steam pressure vessel (12) to allow for a “cord, cordless” system that can eliminate the limitations of a power cord and keep the vessel enclosure (32), water and steam at the proper temperature for an extended period of time for spot cleaning or cleaning in a relatively small area. The vessel enclosure (32), water and steam can be easily reheated for continued use by placing the pressure vessel on a vessel plug (28) located on a support plate (26) of the power base station (14). The power base station (14) also features a locking system that can enable the steam-cleaning device (10) to be used in a continuous operation for large cleaning areas by locking the pressure vessel (12) to the power base station (14).

Abstract: There is provided a liquid dispenser to be used with a steam-cleaning device that enables a user to dispense a heated liquid, such as a cleaning fluid, soap or detergent while simultaneously steam-cleaning. This can be accomplished through the use of a main housing, a base, a housing connection aperture, and a sponge. The preferred embodiment features the main housing capable of easily being connected to the base in a bayonet type coupling for a quick, removable connection. The housing has a reservoir that can be filled with a liquid, such as a cleaning fluid, soap or detergent. The steam-cleaning device can be operated to send steam though the liquid dispenser. As the steam travels through the liquid dispenser, the steam heats up the liquid in the housing reservoir for a more effective cleaning. The liquid can flow to the sponge through a number of minute holes in the base to the surface of the object to be cleaned.

Abstract: A foot spa and a method for controlling the foot spa is provided. The foot spa has a housing defining a reservoir for retaining a volume of fluid, and a lid selectively covering a portion of the reservoir. The foot spa can have any combination of a remote control unit for generating a signal for controlling a plurality of functions of the foot spa, a receiver for receiving the control signal, a retractable cord, an infrared heater, an in-line fluid heater, adjustable fluid jets, a spinning massage attachment function, and a control assembly operable by the foot of the user.

Abstract: A rechargeable hand held or floor supported multi surface cleaner is adapted to use rechargeable, dry cell batteries or a line cord connected supply to power one or more rotating power drives or counter rotational or linear power drives and cleaning brushes. The unit can dispense hot, warm or ambient detergent solution in order to facilitate cleaning. A docking station is provided to recharge the cleaning unit batteries, to heat the detergent solution and to refill the unit's detergent bottle from a larger interchangeable reservoir located in the docking station. Disposable as well as non-disposable attachments are provided with extension wands to clean various surfaces including conditions and hard to reach areas. A floor cleaner component uses the same interchangeable detergent bottle for cleaning.

The footbath employs a sender to transmit an infrared signal and a sensor to receive the infrared signal. When a foot breaks the transmission of the signal, the unit will commence operating. When the foot is removed, the sensor will resume receiving the signal and the unit will automatically shut off.

Abstract: A hair dryer in accord with the invention includes a hood, two staggered or asymmetrically placed fans in a base, and an airflow conduit therebetween. The hood of the device may also have an adjustable vent for regulating the amount of air delivered to the head.
