Publication number: 20240303679Abstract: Methods and systems for creation and management of a clearance schedule for in-store clearance of a retail item are disclosed. A markdown schedule may be generated using a first model representing a demand forecast and a second model that represents estimated price elasticity for the item to be placed into the clearance program. The estimated price elasticity may be determined from historical sales data of an identified past clearance item. In some instances, backtesting data may be generated from past clearance sales, and a comparison of the backtesting data to the current clearance program may be performed to update the markdown schedule. In some instances, updated sales data may be received, and model parameters updated. A user interface presenting a revised demand forecast may be generated, and a clearance schedule implementation tool may update the optimal markdown schedule for the inventory item for future periods of the clearance program.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 10, 2023Publication date: September 12, 2024Inventors: Aishwarya Shukla, Nishant Kalsi, Narendra Yaddula, Gayatri Pal, Vivek S

Patent number: 12086581Abstract: Servers at a data center having similar hardware configurations are grouped together; a leader server is determined from members of the group. A remote network management console discovers the leader without necessarily discovering each particular server and provides a firmware update to only the leader via a communication network over which the systems management console/application and the group of servers can communicate. The leader receives the firmware update and distributes the update to the other group members. In a cluster environment where servers of a group are substantially identical to one another, a leader of the cluster may use a discovery protocol to determine a catalog of current firmware versions of cluster members and their respective peripherals. Based on the catalog, the systems management console/application determines a custom firmware update that will normalize each member of the cluster to one another and forwards the custom update to the cluster leader.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2021Date of Patent: September 10, 2024Assignee: DELL PRODUCTS L.P.Inventors: Vivek S, Amit Singh, Rishi Kumar, Sasikumar Subramani

Patent number: 12045624Abstract: Facilitation of transfer of pre-operating system (pre-OS) data to a persistent store is enabled relative to an operation performed external to the OS. A system can comprise a processor, and a memory that stores computer executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, can facilitate performance of operations. The operations can comprise writing data relative to a pre-OS environment to a partition external to an operating system (OS) partition, and, in response to a reboot operation, booting an OS and transferring the data or a copy of the data to the OS partition. Alternatively, the operations can comprise, writing data relative to an updating operation to a log accessible by an OS of the system, assigning a variable value to the log, automatically searching, while operating the OS, for the variable value, and copying or transferring the data relative to the OS via identifying the variable value upon the identification.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2021Date of Patent: July 23, 2024Assignee: DELL PRODUCTS, L.P.Inventors: Krutika Dhanakshirur, Sasikumar Subramani, Vivek S, Harish Babu, Santosh Gore
