Abstract: A method of checking freshness of data for a data integration system, DIS, storing data integrated from external sources in a data store where a freshness check is carried out on queried data integrated from external sources, the freshness check accessing stored metadata in the DIS and comparing the stored metadata for the queried data with current metadata of the external sources for the queried data; and where if the stored metadata matches the current metadata, the DIS allows the query to use the data in the data store and if the stored metadata does not match the current metadata, the data in the data store is refreshed from the external source before use in the query.

Abstract: Embodiments include a method, apparatus, program, and system for distributing data items among a plurality of data storage units, the data items being an aggregation of data from a plurality of data sources. The method comprises generating a semantic description of each of the plurality of data sources; calculating, for each pair of data sources from among the plurality of data sources, a degree of similarity between the semantic descriptions of the pair of data sources; and allocating data items to data storage units in dependence upon the calculated degree of similarity between the data source of a data item being allocated and the or each data source of data items already allocated to the data storage units.

Abstract: A low-profile applicator, and a method of manufacturing and use thereof, for impacting microneedles against the stratum corneum of a person having a housing, a diaphragm member having the microneedles, a folding member having interlinking members that hinge-ably rotate with a force member, operatively attached thereto, between a resting position and an extended position. The folding member translates energy stored within the force member when release while retaining the force member in an energized state when in the resting position.

The system includes a translator and one or more data dictionaries. The translator includes a user interface module, a translator logic module to enable the translation, and a current data dictionary module for retaining a selected data dictionary. Each of the data dictionaries includes common syntax generated for a variety of CLI script types. A particular data dictionary is referenced based upon initial input from a network administrator. The translator then generates the automated translation of corresponding scripts from those scripts associated with an original device into a device having differing script requirements.
