  • Patent number: 7213799
Abstract: A pneumatic suspension and damping arrangement (100) is fixedly mounted on the chassis at the upper region and to the wheel mount at the lower region thereof. The arrangement includes two hermetically closed air springs (101, 102) filled with pressurized gas, whose volumes can be changed and which are connected via an air connection (134) to a pressurized gas source. The air springs are each enclosed by a movable wall formed by a flexible member (116, 124) and each roll off on a roll-off contour and are connected to each other via a throttle element (108) through which the gas can flow in two directions. The air springs are arranged one above the other and the roll-off contour of the first air spring (101) is defined in such a way by the second air spring (102) that the first air spring (101) rolls off on the second air spring (102). A connecting element of the upper cover (104) ) with the roll-off piston (128) of the second air spring (102) runs outside of the two air springs (101, 102).

  • Publication number: 20070018804
Abstract: The invention relates to a transponder which is mounted in a tire. The transponder includes at least a transponder chip and a transponder antenna and is embedded in a substrate. The substrate is connected to an inner side of the tire by a connecting structure. In order to provide a transponder with the longest possible service life, the substrate is decoupled from the inner side of the tire via a connecting structure in the form of a soft or gliding support in such a manner that no or only minimum mechanical stresses are transmitted to the substrate. The connecting structure is arranged between the substrate and the inner side of the tire.

  • Patent number: 6337749
Abstract: A method for generating an electric control signal driving apparatus to produce a topological structure on a workpiece, in particular to produce a leather structure. Initially, at least, two different signal components are generated and the control signal is then formed by their addition. One signal component may correspond to a fine structure and another for instance to a coarse structure or to a line structure. In this manner, the portions of the structure can be determined and processed one at a time to imitate a natural leather surface.

  • Patent number: 5447341
Abstract: A molded hose branch of rubber includes an assembly formed by slipping completely vulcanized rubber hose lengths with ends onto free ends of a plastic tubing branching piece. The assembly is placed into a mold, and a thermoplastic material, for instance a blended mixture of polypropylene and EPDM, is injection molded around the assembly so as to join the thermoplastic material to the rubber hose lengths. This results in a sleeve around the rubber hose lengths and free parts of the tubing branching piece between the ends of the rubber hose lengths.

  • Patent number: 5221078
Abstract: A method for varying the spring rigidity of an elastomer engine mount for motor vehicles, having two rubber bodies being at least intermittently connected in series, includes intermittently spanning one of the two series-connected rubber bodies as a function of predetermined operating parameters with rigid components of the mount by means of a separate force brought to bear from the outside. Induced forces are elastically effectively received with only the other of the two rubber bodies. An elastic engine mount, especially for motor vehicles, includes rotationally symmetrical rubber bodies disposed one above the other in series. The first rubber body is fixed between an engine mount plate and a support plate. The second rubber body is fixed between the support plate and a retaining plate to be pivoted at a vehicle body. An annular housing surrounds and partly encompasses the second rubber body.

  • Patent number: 5213315
Abstract: A method for varying the spring rigidity of an elastomer engine mount, such as for motor vehicles, includes bringing one of two at least intermittently simultaneously loadable parallel-connected spring bodies into continuous engagement with supports and bringing the other of the two spring bodies into intermittent contact with supports as a function of predetermined operating parameters, for absorbing induced forces in parallel with the two spring bodies. The other spring is connected in parallel with a force brought to bear separately from the outside for causing it to contact its supports. An elastic engine mount for motor vehicles includes a hollow-cylindrical spring body and a solid-cylindrical spring body disposed concentrically relative to one another between an engine mount plate and a support plate to be fixed to a vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 5088580
Abstract: A hydraulically acting damping element includes a main chamber and a compensation chamber. Two rigid end walls and a rubber-elastic circumferential wall surround one of the chambers. An elastic, pressure-stable bellows has ends and a circumference. The bellows is disposed concentrically inside the one chamber and rigidly joined to the end walls with the main chamber inside the bellows and the compensation chamber between the bellows and the circumferential wall. An over-flow circuit is formed on one of the ends of the bellows and extends over at least part of the circumference of the bellows for hydraulically connecting the main chamber and the compensation chamber.

  • Patent number: 4880216
Abstract: The invention relates to a two-chamber bearing, in particular for motor vehicles, which has hydraulic damping, the liquid-filled chambers of which have rubber elastic peripheral walls and are connected to each other by a line which is provided in a rigid intermediate plate. According to the present invention, a so-called active bearing is provided which can be rapidly adapted to the operational conditions in each case by filling the chambers with an electroviscous liquid, the viscosity of which may be controlled by applying an electrical field in the area of the line which passes through the intermediate plate.
