  • Publication number: 20190260170
Abstract: A contact and busbar assembly forms a bus system on electronics housings arranged in an array direction. Each housing includes a circuit board. The contact and busbar assembly includes multiple bus plugs having first connecting contacts for electrically contacting the circuit boards and second connecting contacts in the form of socket contacts for electrically contacting power rail strips. A plurality of power rail strips electrically connects the second connecting contacts of adjacent electronics housings. A first power rail strip electrically connects the bus plugs of two directly adjacent electronics housings and a second power rail strip of greater length electrically connects two spaced electronics housings. An electronics housing assembly is provided having multiple electronics housings arranged against one another in the array direction and a contact and busbar assembly as set forth above.

  • Patent number: 7670060
Abstract: A fiber optic connector arrangement includes a locking device for fastening together a pair of male plug and female socket components, which locking device consists of locking elements mounted solely on a pair of telescopic adapter housings that support the plug and socket components when in the engaged condition. In order to increase the operational life of the connector components, one of the plug and socket components contains a recess for receiving an auxiliary second locking device that extends longitudinally in a normally non-stressed unlocked inoperative condition from the other component.

  • Patent number: 7513800
Abstract: A terminal block connecting apparatus includes first and second support members displaceable from a disengaged condition toward an engaged condition in which corresponding main terminal blocks are brought into electrical engagement, characterized by the provision of first and second test terminal blocks connected with the support members for electrical engagement when the first and second support members are in an intermediate condition between the disengaged and engaged conditions. One of the test terminal blocks is supported by a carrier member for movement relative to the associated support member, whereby the test terminal blocks will remain in electrical engagement during displacement of the support members between the test and connected conditions. A friction retaining arrangement serves to resist displacement of the carrier member relative to its associated support member.

  • Patent number: 7347718
Abstract: A connector arrangement includes a housing containing at least one open-topped chamber in which is mounted a stationary upwardly-directed knife device, and a rectangular carrier member arranged for downward insertion within the chamber, thereby to displace an insulated wire supported by the carrier member toward a position in which the knife device pierces the insulation layer and is brought into electrical engagement with the conductor contained therein. The carrier member includes a top surface containing a slot for receiving the tip of an operating tool that displaces the carrier member downwardly in the chamber, and a side wall containing at least one lug and slot arrangement by means of which the carrier member may be upwardly displaced upon lever-like operation of the tool in cooperation with a side wall of the chamber. Preferably, the housing includes a plurality of the chambers arranged in one or more rows.

  • Patent number: 7063557
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a connector body that contains an open-topped chamber in which is mounted a stationary, upwardly-directed insulation-severing electrical contact, together with an operating member for displacing an insulated conductor laterally downwardly in the chamber. The operating member includes a flexible intermediate portion that permits the leading end of the operating member to be introduced initially downwardly into the chamber, and subsequently to be diverted upwardly relative to the connector body by a guide surface arranged at the bottom of the chamber. As the leading and trailing ends of the operating member approach their final positions relative to the connector body, the insulation layer of the conductor is severed by knife edges on the stationary contact, and the conductor is brought into electrical engagement contact with the contact.

  • Patent number: 6543357
Abstract: An apparatus for supporting the shaft journals of a printing cylinder, that can be dipped into a dye vat, of a rotary roller printing machine, preferably a Rotogravure Rotary Roller Printing Machine, on support rolls for the purpose of exchanging the printing cylinder. In order to be able to exchange the printing cylinder in a simple and fast manner, the support rolls are arranged on horizontally movable beams via which the support rolls can be shifted between the bearings of the printing cylinder and an extended position in which there is provided a device that lifts and inserts the printing cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20010029858
Abstract: A printing cylinder of a printing machine that can be immersed in an ink pan is provided with a doctor blade that can be adjusted to it. In order to prevent ink from spraying outward, rings are placed that can rotate freely, but cannot be moved in the axial direction, and carry holding arms that hold wipers in the region between the ink pan and the doctor blade. The rings are held by torque supports in such a way that they cannot rotate with respect to the machine frame.
