  • Publication number: 20050080642
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for detecting an undesired email message. Some embodiments of such systems comprise detection mechanisms for detecting undesired email from an email service of a user. Accordingly, a user interface may be provided to access and activate each detection mechanism from one graphical interface display. Other systems and methods are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050080861
Abstract: Group email and individual user email are provided. The group email is accessible by each member of a predefined group. The individual-user email is accessible by an individual. Additionally, an email application, which is executable by the individual user, is provided. The email application is configured to display the group email and the individual user email in response to being executed by the individual user.

  • Publication number: 20050080860
Abstract: Several embodiments, among others, provided in the present disclosure teach a filtering of email messages for spam based on phonetic equivalents of words found in the email message. In some embodiments, an email message having a word is received, and a phonetic equivalent of the word is generated. Thereafter, the phonetic equivalent of the word is tokenized to generate a token representative of the phonetic equivalent. The generated token is then used to determine a spam probability.

  • Publication number: 20050080864
Abstract: Systems and methods for handling email messages are described. Some embodiments are directed to determining whether an email message meets a predefined condition, and executing an action in an instant messaging (IM) system in response to determining that the email message meets the predefined condition. Other embodiments are directed to providing a programming interface, and storing inputs provided by a user at the programming interface. For those embodiments, the programming interface is adapted to receive user input in the form of a markup language. The inputs comprise a condition and an action. Yet other embodiments are directed to determining whether a digital message meets a predefined condition, and executing a filtering algorithm on the digital message in response to determining that the digital message does not meet the predefined condition. The digital message may be, for example, an email message or an IM message.

  • Publication number: 20050080862
Abstract: Embodiments, among others, of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for integrating communications services. Briefly described, in architecture, one embodiment of the system, among others, can be implemented as follows. A first persona is provided. The first persona includes a first communications account for a first communications service and a first identifier. The first identifier also is associated with a first service interface. The first service interface is coupled to a first communications user agent. The first communications user agent provides the first communications service to a user. Accordingly, the first service interface activates the first communications user agent if the user is attempting to access the first communications service via the first communications account. Other systems and methods are provided.

  • Publication number: 20050080867
Abstract: Embodiments, among others, of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for integrating communication services. Briefly described, in architecture, one embodiment of the system, among others, can be implemented as follows. A communication suite includes several communications accounts for a first communications service and several communications for a second communications service. Logic is configured to detect when one of the communications accounts in the first communication suite for the first communications service is being actively utilized by a user. Upon detection, the logic is configured to make the second communications service available to the user via the communications accounts in the communication suite for the second communications service. Other systems and methods are provided.
