  • Patent number: 10812267
Abstract: Secure password lock and recovery is provided. A user password is received to access a secure resource protected by a data processing system. It is determined whether a match exists between a retrieved user password verification string corresponding to a valid user password from a storage of a software token and a generated user password verification string corresponding to the user password. In response to determining that a match does not exist between the retrieved user password verification string and the generated user password verification string, it is determined whether a defined number of user password authentication attempts has been exceeded. In response to determining that the defined number of user password authentication attempts has been exceeded, the retrieved user password verification string is set to a preestablished sequence of values locking the valid user password on the storage of the software token. Access to the secure resource is denied.

  • Publication number: 20200296086
Abstract: A method, computer system, and a computer program product for secure transport of data is provided. The present invention may include defining a trust relationship based on a secret. The present invention may also include associating a trusted transport key identity (TTKI) based on the defined trust relationship. The present invention may then include receiving a trusted transport key (TTK), wherein the TTK is digitally signed and encrypted with the TTKI. The present invention may further include verifying the digitally signed TTK. The present invention may also include enveloping the secret with the TTK.

  • Publication number: 20200233213
Abstract: An imaging apparatus for stereoscopic viewing has a frame that seats against the head of a viewer. A left-eye imaging apparatus and a right-eye imaging apparatus are supported by the frame. The frame is reshapeable in a manner that changes a relative alignment of the left-eye imaging apparatus and the right-eye imaging apparatus to accommodate different viewer head anatomies. An adjustment mechanism responsive to the reshaping of the frame restores relative alignment of the left-eye imaging apparatus and the right-eye imaging apparatus for conveying stereoscopic virtual images to the viewer.

  • Publication number: 20200225914
Abstract: A method facilitates development of instructions in a precise syntax, such as built-in functions of a computational system such as a spreadsheet application, using natural language (NL) input. A user may enter NL input in a workspace. An NL processing system may process the NL input to generate instruction(s) in a precise syntax that corresponds to the NL input. The instruction(s) in the precise syntax then may be included in the workspace.

  • Publication number: 20190381242
Abstract: A system includes: a fluid delivery pump and a network of multiple record management processing nodes. The fluid delivery pump is in communication with one or more of the record management-processing nodes in the network. At least a first record management processing node receives input indicating a fluid delivery event. The fluid delivery event indicates fluid delivery from the fluid delivery pump to a recipient. The record management-processing node identifies code pertinent to the fluid delivery event; the code includes criteria in which to validate the fluid delivery event. In response to validation of the fluid delivery event as specified by the criteria in the code, a resource such as the record management-processing node triggers a transaction associated with the fluid delivery event.

  • Publication number: 20190287667
Abstract: Via communications with an association management resource, an operator of a respective fluid delivery system can associate a medical device (fluid pump) with a particular entity such as a patient, location, one or more other medical devices, the caregiver, etc. Thereafter, the operator of the fluid delivery system is able to better manage use of the fluid delivery system based on relevant medical information, which is accessible as a result of creating the association. For example, the association management resource gathers and stores information associated with the entity prior to the operator providing the input associating the fluid delivery system with the entity. After the operator of the fluid delivery system creates the association, the medical information associated with the entity is immediately available to the fluid delivery system and/or corresponding operator of the fluid delivery system.

  • Publication number: 20190175831
Abstract: A controller controls a fluid pump to deliver primary fluid from a first source at a desired rate through a respective conduit to a recipient. The controller monitors a volume of the primary fluid injected into the conduit. Subsequent to injecting a predetermined amount of the primary fluid into the conduit, the controller i) discontinues injection of the primary fluid into the conduit and ii) injects a secondary fluid through the conduit to advance a remaining portion of the primary fluid in the conduit to the recipient. The controller advances the secondary fluid into the conduit until a desired amount of the primary fluid is delivered trough the conduit to the recipient. Injection of the secondary fluid to push the remaining portion of the primary fluid reduces waste associated with the primary fluid.

  • Publication number: 20180250507
Abstract: An implantable medical assist device includes a medical device. The medical device has a housing and electronics contained therein. A lead provides an electrical path to or from the electronics within the medical device. A resonance tuning module is located in the housing and is connected to the lead. The resonance tuning module includes a control circuit for determining a resonant frequency of the implantable medical assist device and an adjustable impedance circuit to change the combined resonant frequency of the medical device and lead.

  • Publication number: 20180223909
Abstract: The preferred embodiments of the present invention provide two advantageous features, which are especially beneficial in combination, but which can be advantageously and beneficially employed independently of one another: (1) firstly, a self-cooling motor bearing system; and (2) secondly, a self-lubricating motor bearing system. In the preferred embodiments, one or both of these two advantageous features are integrated inside an electric motor (e.g., within the electric motor's enclosure housing) in such a manner as to greatly enhance bearing operating conditions (e.g., maintaining adequate bearing lubrication and/or bearing operating temperature) without the use of external lubrication units and/or external cooling units.

  • Patent number: 10025909
Abstract: A configuration management resource keeps track of incremental updates to a locally stored copy of configuration information (such as drug library information) used by a medical device to administer treatment to patients. The medical device retrieves a copy of the configuration information from a configuration management resource. Unbeknownst to a user of the medical device, to ensure that the medical device has most up-to-date configuration information, the medical device communicates a request for updates to the configuration management resource. To service the received request for updated configuration information, the configuration management resource forwards incrementally available configuration update information to the requesting medical device. The medical device uses the received configuration update information from the configuration management resource to update its local version of configuration information stored in the medical device.

  • Patent number: 10002235
Abstract: A healthcare enterprise has an associated management resource that manages operation of one or more medical devices in the healthcare enterprise. To determine what functionality to enable in a respective medical device, the respective medical device establishes a communication link to communicate in a network environment. Subsequent to establishing the communication link, the medical device initiates communications over the communication link from the medical device to the remotely located management resource. The communications include a unique identifier value assigned to the medical device. Depending upon feedback (such as granting or denial of authorization) from the management resource with respect to the unique identifier value, the medical device operates in one of multiple different operational modes such as a fully functional mode or a reduced functionality mode.

  • Publication number: 20180066321
Abstract: The invention described in the application relates to a panel of gene expression markers for node-negative, ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer patients. The invention thus provides methods and compositions, e.g., kits and/or microarrays, for evaluating gene expression levels of the markers and methods of using such gene expression levels to evaluate the likelihood of relapse of a node-negative, ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer patient. Such information can be used in determining treatment options for patients.
