Abstract: A bone implant system may include a plurality of bone anchors, a superior rod attachable to a superior portion of a bone via the bone anchors, and an inferior rod attachable to an inferior portion of the bone via the bone anchors. The superior rod may have a superior end, and the inferior rod may have an inferior end. The superior rod may telescopically engage the inferior rod such that a cavity is present within at least one of the superior rod and the inferior rod and such that a length of the combined superior and inferior rods, measured between the superior end and the inferior end, is adjustable. The cavity may contain a micropump and a chamber. The micropump may be configured to expel fluid into the chamber to urge the length to increase.

Abstract: A digital holographic microscope that includes a light source and a photonic integrated circuit. The photonic integrated circuit can include a branching waveguide optically coupled to the light source, and a multi-angle illumination device optically coupled to the branching waveguide. In various examples, the multi-angle illumination device includes an optical phased array that includes a plurality of light emitters. In various examples, the multi-angle illumination device includes a grating coupler.

Abstract: In some examples, a method for developing an application programming interface (API) is provided. The method is performed by a computing system running an API Forge Accelerator. The method comprising: receiving, by the API Forge Accelerator, a request for generating an API for a service based on a type of a first gateway, wherein the request indicates a selection of the first gateway among a plurality of gateways integrated with the API Forge Accelerator; generating, by the API Forge Accelerator, based on the specific gateway, a specification template corresponding to the specific gateway for generating the API, wherein the specification template indicates specification information that is used for the API generation; obtaining, by the API Forge Accelerator, based on the specification template, specification information from user input and API tools; and generating, by the API Forge Accelerator, based on the specification information, the API for the service.

The method includes: receiving, from a platform orchestrator of a service delivery platform and directed to provisioning a swap space, a swap space instruction specifying a swap space owner and a swap space size; requesting, from the platform orchestrator in response to receiving the swap space instruction and subsequently receiving, a swap space configuration associated with the swap space; based on at least a portion of the swap space configuration: selecting, at least based on the swap space size, at least one physical memory device; creating at least one volume on the at least one physical memory device; creating an emulated memory drive using the at least one volume; and presenting, to the swap space owner, the emulated memory drive as attached swap space representing the swap space.

Abstract: A mattress system can include a foam layer positioned proximate a mattress top and having a head end, a foot end, and opposite lateral ends, a mattress core positioned under the foam layer, and a sensor strip. The sensor strip can include a carrier strip and a plurality of sensors attached to the carrier strip and spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the carrier strip. The carrier strip can be configured to be releasably attached to the foam layer. The carrier strip can also extend between the opposite lateral ends of the foam layer.

Abstract: An oven appliance includes a cabinet defining a cooking chamber to receive items to be cooked. The oven appliance includes a door that rotates between an open and closed position. The oven appliance further includes a door handle including two ends, each end of the door handle including two locator pin. The door handle attaches to a door trim, wherein the outer locator pin on one end of the door handle sets the horizontal and vertical alignment of the door trim and the outer locator pin on the opposite end of the door handle sets the angular alignment of the door trim. The door handle also attaches to a first handle bracket and a second handle bracket. The outer and inner locating pins on one end of the door handle set the vertical and horizontal alignment and the angular alignment of the first handle bracket, respectively. The outer and inner locating pins on the opposite end of the door handle set the vertical and horizontal alignment and the angular alignment of the second handle bracket, respectively.

Abstract: Methods and systems described herein are directed to creating customized queries on data sets via selection of search elements based on meta-data from data set registrations. In some implementations, an automatic query system can register database elements with associated meta-data by receiving programming data objects, corresponding to database elements, with meta-data and adding the programming objects as selectable values for a user interface (UI). Each data object can define one or more elements for a table and/or column(s) within a table in a database. The automatic query system can provide the UI to a user to receive table and column selections. The automatic query system can select a root table to join the selected tables into, and generate a join query for the root table by inserting search string snippets, corresponding to selected tables and columns, into a query template.

Abstract: A bingo gaming system, machine, and method include a main bingo game, a feature bingo game, a main reel game associated with the main bingo game, and a feature reel game associated with the feature bingo game. Abstract: In some implementations, a device may receive spatial data corresponding to an interior of a building and objects located in the interior of the building. The device may generate a digital map of the interior of the building based on the spatial data. The device may generate a geographic coordinate map of the interior of the building. The device may receive, from a sensor mounted on an uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV), sensor data indicating three-dimensional geographic points. The device may compare the sensor data to the geographic coordinate map to localize the UAV on the geographic coordinate map. The device may generate coordinate data indicating geographic coordinates associated with the geographic coordinate map and formatted in a global positioning system coordinate format and a National Marine Electronics Association format. The device may transmit, to a controller of the UAV, at least a subset of the coordinate data.

Abstract: A fibre structure formed from dissolvable glass fibres is provided, the dissolvable glass fibres being formed from one or more boron compounds and one or more alkali compounds. The dissolvable glass can be formed into filaments, rovings and staple fibres of varying composition, length and diameter dependent on functionality and purpose. A mixture of chemicals components are heated, melted and then drawn or extruded into dissolvable filaments, rovings and staple fibres for use in a fibre-reinforced composite part or as a preservative in the internal and surface treatment of solid wood and engineered composite panels. A water-soluble surface coating may be applied to adjust dissolution rate and facilitate binding into an air-laid nonwoven mat or incorporation into other matrices.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for improving security of media streams are disclosed. The system can receive a decoded media stream from a media decoding pipeline that receives and decodes an encoded media stream. The system can identify, based on the decoded media stream, a set of features to generate, and generate the set of features using the decoded media stream. Such features may include luma histograms, pixel intensity data, motion vectors, edge detection, audio gain, tonal information, pitch information, among other types of features. The system can provide the set of features to a processor executing a machine-learning model, wherein the processor executing the machine-learning model is prevented from accessing the decoded media stream by the device.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a process for a hydrothermal feedstock treatment including direct steam injection and cooling, which may be performed in the absence of a reactor. The process can be used to reduce inorganic and organic contaminants, such as salts, minerals, metals, asphaltenes, polymers, and coke precursors in both renewable and non-renewable feedstocks.

Abstract: An electronic device may include a printed circuit board having a physically unclonable function (PUF) source. The PUF source includes a plurality of fuses that provide PUF data based on a measurement of electrical parameters resulting from a first signal being transmitted through the plurality of fuses. The electronic device also has processing circuitry in communication with the PUF source that can detect a triggering event at the electronic device and determine an event type based on the detected triggering event. The processing circuitry can select at least one fuse of the plurality of fuses based on the determined event type and change an electrical property of the selected at least one fuse such that the PUF data from the PUF source is modified.
