Abstract: There is provided a method of delivering media content on a device. A request to stream media content is received at the device. At least a first portion of the requested media content is retrieved from a local media store of the device. The at least a first portion of the requested media content is delivered to a media player of the device for playback. In parallel to the delivery of the at least a first portion of the requested media content, at least a second portion of the requested media content is downloaded from a remote media store to the device. There is also provided a method on a device of protecting media content from unauthorised playback. The method comprises receiving at the device a request to play media content, wherein the requested media content is encrypted. The method further comprises obtaining the encrypted media content.

Abstract: A semiconductor device and method for forming a semiconductor device are presented. The method includes providing a patterned reticle having a pattern perimeter defined by active and dummy patterns. The dummy patterns include dummy structures modified according to a density equation. The patterned reticle is used to pattern a resist layer on a substrate with a device layer. An etch is performed to pattern the device layer using the patterned resist layer. Additional processing is performed to complete formation of the device.

Abstract: A toothbrush has a frame, a bristle holder movably mounted to a distal end of the frame, and a power transmission assembly operatively connectable to a drive motor and operatively connected to the bristle holder so as to move bristle tips on the bristle holder along an oval path relative to the frame. In a single cycle of movement along the oval path, the bristles shift away from the frame and towards the teeth, then along and in contact with the teeth in a direction away from the gum line, then back towards the frame and away from the teeth, and subsequently along the frame and out of contact with the teeth.

Abstract: A storage device backplane with penetrating convection and a computer framework with the storage device backplane are disclosed. The storage device backplane includes an integration board, an operation board and a heat dissipation unit. The integration board has a first surface for electrically connecting the storage device group. The operation board is superposed on and electrically connected to a second surface of the integration board and is provided that the operation board includes an electronic heating active element (EHAE) and an airflow hole set around the EHAE. The heat dissipation unit includes a heat absorb portion and multiple fins set on the heat absorb portion. The heat absorb portion makes a thermal contact with the EHAE. The fins laterally extend to cover the airflow hole. Airflow passages are formed between the fins corresponding to the airflow hole.

Abstract: The present invention describes a multi-piece electronic device case comprising multiple shock absorbing features. The device includes an upper protective shell, a lower shell, and a rear-mounted shock panel which form the casing around an electronic device. The upper and lower shells are shaped to include a gap between the case and the electronic device. Within the gap are a plurality of curved, force attenuating panels therein that are configured to flex when impacted, thereby distributing the forces applied to the impacted area. Additionally, the backs of the shells include slots for receiving bumper inserts that further distribute impact forces that occur on the upper and lower sides of the electronic device.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a semiconductor device is provided. The method comprising forming a first layer over a substrate and a second layer over the first layer. A patterned masking layer is subsequently provided over the second layer and a patterned second layer with outwardly tapered sidewalls is formed by isotropically etching exposed portions of the second layer. A patterned first layer is the formed by etching the first layer in accordance with the patterned second layer.

Abstract: An isolation suit has a two-way air supply/disinfection pump attached to it. The pump has a pair of through-passages each communicating with an interior of the suit by respective airlines. There is a fan in each through-passage, one of which delivers air to the suit and the other of which extracts air from the suit. The isolation suit has an ultraviolet light in each through-passage for disinfecting air that is drawn through by the fans.

Abstract: A sterilisation chamber includes an elongate housing, an air inlet port adjacent to one end of the housing, an air outlet port adjacent to the other end of the housing, and an elongate ultraviolet fluorescent tube mounted within the housing and extending from the inlet port to the outlet port. Air passing through the housing from one end to the other encounters ultraviolet light emitted from the fluorescent tube en route from the inlet port to the outlet port.

Abstract: A new method is provided to enter data into a computer controlled equipment control system. The data that are entered into the system by human intervention are validated against a reference or golden database. The golden database contains only data that is certified and correct. Any errors that may have been created as part of the process of human entry of the data will therefore be identified and can be eliminated.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a spacer layer (22) is formed overlying a gate electrode (16), which is formed on a semiconductor substrate (12). The spacer layer (22) is then etched to form a sidewall spacer (24). A scanning electron microscope (SEM) is then used to measure the width of the sidewall spacer (24). The measured value for the width of the sidewall spacer (24) is then used to adjust a subsequent integrated circuit fabrication process, such as a spacer etch process, an implant process, or an anneal process. As a result, transistors with improved drain saturation currents are fabricated.

Abstract: Methods for effecting epoxidation of olefinic compounds using cyclic ketone catalysts is provided. In particular, catalytic asymmetric epoxidation of unfunctionalized olefins, e.g., trans-olefins and trisubstituted olefins using novel cyclic ketones possessing C.sub.2 symmetric chiral elements is provided.
