  • Patent number: 8241399
Abstract: A method of generating heat from a gas stream includes providing a first gas stream having a first temperature and a moisture content approximately saturating the gas stream, removing the moisture content from the first gas stream to form a second gas stream having a second temperature greater than the first temperature of the first gas stream, and heat exchanging the second gas stream having the second temperature greater than the first temperature of the first gas stream.

  • Publication number: 20080011466
Abstract: A carrier supports property-transferring material and includes a first portion exposed to a first property and a second portion exposed to a second property. The first property is different from the second property causing the property-transferring material to develop micro-cyclic property transfer between the first and second properties. The first and second properties each include at least one of heat and mass.

  • Publication number: 20060055970
Abstract: A method of printing a plurality of digital images in a print job comprising the steps of: rasterizing at least one of the plurality of images; measuring a rasterization cost factor parameter in the rasterized image(s); and, predicting the time required to rasterize the other images in the print job based on the rasterization cost factor parameter.

  • Publication number: 20060023238
Abstract: A method and system for selective reprint of individual records in a variable data printing operation in which a variable data print job defined by an original digital document having a plurality of records to be printed is provided to the printing device (2). The variable data print job is run on the printing device (2) and the printed documents are examined to select records to reprint. A parameter (64) that identifies the records to reprint is determined and applied to the original digital document (50) using a data transformation engine (60). The data transformation engine (60) transforms the original digital document (50) into a new (70) or revised (50?) digital document including the records to reprint and provides the print job defined by the new (70) or revised (50?) digital document to the printing device (2) for selective reprint.

  • Publication number: 20050109052
Abstract: An air conditioning system includes a first chamber having a plurality of first sectors, a second chamber having a plurality of second sectors, a first airflow device forming a first airflow through the first chamber, a second airflow device forming a second airflow through the second chamber, and a heat and mass transfer substance flowing in a plurality of the first and second sectors, the substance interacting with the first and second airflows through the first and second chambers. Thermal inducement apparatus thermally interacts with the substance establishing a thermal gradient between the first sectors and a thermal gradient between the second sectors providing a heat and mass energy gradient for the first airflow through the first sectors and a reversed heat and mass energy gradient for the second airflow through the second sectors. Plumbing is provided, which moves the substance throughout the system.
