  • Patent number: 9445324
Abstract: The embodiments disclosed relates to a method and a network node that determines a time period between a first handover and a second handover of a user equipment. The first handover is to or from a first cell and the second handover is to or from a second cell. The network node sets a threshold value based on a difference in cell quality between the first cell and the second cell. The difference in cell quality is associated with the first or second handover. The network node then determines the type of handover, of at least one of the first and second handover, based on the time period and threshold value.

  • Patent number: 9445348
Abstract: A base station (510), a local server (520), a user equipment (500) and Internet server (540) of a wireless communication network and respective methods therein are provided for enabling provision of an Internet based service to a user equipment, the base station being associated with the local server, which is capable of delivering the Internet based service. A user equipment requesting an Internet based service is requested by the Internet server to discover if the base station is associated with a local server capable of providing the Internet based service to the user equipment. If the user equipment discovers a local server, associated with the base station, capable of providing the Internet based service, the user equipment requests the Internet based service from the local server, via the base station.

  • Publication number: 20160262129
Abstract: Managing of paging of a wireless device (120). A first network node of a wireless communication network (100) determines (203; 301) a code rate and/or transmit power for a present paging message based on a location in a sequence of paging messages. The location is associated with the present paging message. The first network node transmits (204; 302) the present paging message targeted for receipt by the wireless device (120). The present paging message commands the wireless device (120) to connect, or at least initiate connection, to the wireless communication network (100). The present paging message is being coded based on the determined code rate and/or being transmitted based on the determined transmit power.

  • Patent number: 9414349
Abstract: The invention relates to methods and devices for supporting configuration of a measurement gap pattern for a user equipment requiring measurement gaps for performing an inter-frequency measurement. A radio network node receives an indication from the user equipment that the user equipment is going to perform an inter-frequency measurement for positioning, which inter-frequency measurement requires measurement gaps. The radio network node may determine a measurement gap pattern for performing the inter-frequency measurement and may signal, to the user equipment, information to initiate use of the determined measurement gap pattern in the user equipment. Alternatively the user equipment configures the measurement gap pattern itself based on a set of pre-defined rules.

  • Patent number: 9408809
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preventing the crystallization of a pharmaceutical in a polymer film, wherein the solvent-containing coating compound, which comprises a matrix-forming polymer or polymer mixture and at least one pharmaceutical and is spread to produce the polymer film, is temporarily dried at temperatures that is at least 10° C. above the melting temperature of the pharmaceutical contained in the coating compound. The maximum temperature is thus higher than that which is required for mere drying and obviates the need for an additional, time-consuming and expensive work step.

  • Patent number: 9301226
Abstract: A user equipment performs downlink measurement on neighbor cells, but the measurement performance on a target cell (in terms of measurement period/sampling/accuracy etc) is dependent on the relative performance difference between the target cell and a reference cell. The reference cell may be the serving cell, or may be the strongest cell. The network is thus able to keep track of the required number of target cells without degrading the measurement performance of important cells. The UE on the other hand is still able to save its battery as much as possible while making full use of DRX.

  • Publication number: 20160057806
Abstract: A method in a User Equipment, UE, for managing an extended Discontinuous Reception, DRX, cycle mode. The UE is operating in a network and is in a Radio Resource Control, RRC, connected state. The UE enters (401) the extended DRX cycle mode when a first criterion is satisfied. The first criterion relates to anyone or more out of that the UE has not been scheduled by the network during a specific time duration, that the UE has completed a predefined or configured number of long DRX cycles when being in a long DRX cycle mode, that the UE has received an order from the network to enter to the extended DRX cycle mode.

Entering the sleep state. Keeping track of time during the sleep state according to a first time format by using a clock. Waking-up from the sleep state before, as monitored by the clock, the future point in time. Reading broadcasted time information according to a second time format. Obtaining System Frame Number, SFN, synchronization based on the broadcasted time information according to the second time format and received System Frame Number, SFN, information. Receiving, with obtained SFN synchronization, the message at the future point in time.

  • Publication number: 20160014666
Abstract: A method in a primary network node for handling a handover of a wireless device from a primary cell serviced by the primary network node to a neighbour cell serviced by a neighbour network node. The method comprises sending a configuration message to the wireless device, comprising instructions to evaluate in parallel a first handover event and a second handover event. The first event is based on signal quality measurements from both cells. The second event is based on signal strength measurements from both cells. To evaluate comprises determining if an entering condition for each of the events is satisfied. The method further comprises sending a handover command to the wireless device when one of: the entering condition for the first handover event is satisfied over a first time period, and the entering condition for the second handover event is satisfied over a second time period.

  • Patent number: 9236938
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements for improving the capabilities of an evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network, in particular for cases when more than one radio access network applying a time-division duplex transmission mode need to co-exist on a same carrier. The invention addresses further problems concerning an efficient allocation of uplink resources and resource allocation in a handover situation. The present invention assigns an attribute in form of a distinguishing value to the time slots used for the uplink and downlink transmission on said carrier such as to avoid scheduling of transmissions via a first radio access network in downlink or uplink time slots assigned to the second radio access network and to avoid scheduling of transmissions via the second radio access network in uplink time slots assigned for transmissions in the first radio access network.
