  • Patent number: 8702761
Abstract: A limited angulation bone screw assembly adapted to couple a spinal rod with a vertebra including a bone screw, a bushing and a housing. The pedicle screw having a shaft and an upper head portion, the upper head portion comprising a spherical surface with flats disposed on opposite sides of the upper head portion. The bushing comprising a lower rounded surface for mating with the spherical surface and flats of the upper head portion to restrict the angular movement of the bone screw. The coupled bone screw and bushing are inserted into the housing in a first orientation and then rotated to a second orientation to secure the coupled bone screw and bushing to complete the housing.

  • Publication number: 20130320741
Abstract: A component interface assembly for attaching the individual subcomponents of an RTA furniture system. Each component interface assembly having an elongated alignment slot cut into one of the subcomponents of the RTA furniture kit and a retention element affixed to a second corresponding subcomponent such that the first and second subcomponents can be secured together by inserting the retention element into the alignment slot. The alignment slot is positioned on the first subcomponent such that positioning the retention element for insertion into the slot aligns the second subcomponent with the first subcomponent providing tool-less alignment and engagement of the subcomponents. The assembled components may have cutouts on confronting planar surfaces of the respective first and second subcomponents providing enhanced storage for shipping the RTA furniture components.

  • Publication number: 20060267238
Abstract: A polymer wood composite material comprises a polymeric component, wood flour, a coupling agent, a thermal stabilizer component, a plasticizer, a foaming agent, and a pigment. Preferably, the composite material exhibits better hardness than natural wood, as well as less water absorption (<5% by weight) and less thickness swelling (<1%) than natural wood when submerged in water for at least 24 hours, wherein the thickness swelling is measured as a percentage of original thickness. The composite material may be used to form a building component for use in the production of furniture and buildings, such as a doorjamb. In addition, a method of producing an extrudable mixture for an extrusion process to produce a polymer wood composite material is disclosed, wherein the method preferably does not include any pre-drying, pre-treatment or pelletizing processes.

  • Patent number: 6510638
Abstract: A picture frame for supporting and displaying a photograph or other similar item includes a frame body having a plurality of individual frame members which are affixed together. The frame body is constructed of metal and is shaped to define a center opening in which the photograph is positioned. A transparent glass plate is mounted onto the frame body over the center opening to protect the photograph without impeding visibility. For decorative purposes, text is shaped from a soft metal and is soldered onto the frame body around the center opening. In addition, a plurality of colored glass panels are mounted onto the frame body around the center opening. Furthermore, a plurality of flowers are disposed between a pair of spaced apart glass panels which, in turn, are mounted onto the frame body around the center opening.
