The operating method includes inputting at least one network layer packet, generating a link layer packet based on the at least one network layer packet, and transmitting the link layer packet. The link layer packet includes a header including information indicating a packet type of the at least one network layer packet, information indicating whether the link layer packet includes a single network layer packet, and information indicating an identifier related to the at least one network layer packet.

Abstract: A method for transmitting media data-related information at a transmitting entity in a multimedia transmission system including at least one intermediate node is provided. The method includes generating information of traffic, which corresponds to at least one media data configuring a multimedia service, for each valid time period, and transmitting the media data-related information comprising the information of traffic to a receiving entity through the at least one intermediate node.

Abstract: A method and device for providing a message in a remote User Interface (UI) system are provided. The method includes, if a notification message to be sent to a second device connected to a first device is generated in a remote server or the first device communicating with the remote server, the first device generates access information to the notification message, includes the access information in a notification message event indicating occurrence of the notification message, and sends the notification message event to a plurality of second devices in a multicast transmission. Upon receiving a request for the notification message from the plurality of second devices, the first device sends the notification message to the second device whose IDentifier (ID) is identical to a device ID included in the access information, among the plurality of second devices.

Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus and method using private medical information, and a mobile terminal are provided. An optimized driving environment is provided by searching controllable vehicle control nodes in a vehicle, upon reception of a driver's private medical information; determining if there is vehicle control information for controlling the searched vehicle control node; and controlling the vehicle control nodes using vehicle control information that corresponds to the received driver's private medical information if there is the vehicle control information for controlling the searched control nodes.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving information related to multimedia data in a hybrid network and a structure thereof are provided. Abstract: A method for providing a multiplay electronic book content of a client in an electronic book system is provided. The method includes receiving, from an electronic book content server, a multiplay profile and a multiplayable electronic book content which is an electronic book content including multiplay characteristic information, and editing the multiplayable electronic book content so that the content corresponds to a user profile so as to generate a multiplay electronic book content. Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for providing a User Interface (UI) component to a second Remote User Interface Client (RUIC) incapable of directly receiving the UI component from a Remote User Interface Server (RUIS) in a first RUIC capable of directly receiving the UI component from the RUIS. In the method, the first RUIC discovers the second RUIC that will receive the UI component. Upon discovering the second RUIC, the first RUIC performs a device capability matching procedure between the RUIS and the second RUIC. After completion of the device capability matching procedure, the first RUIC provides the second RUIC with a UI component received from the RUIS and processed for the second RUIC, and delivers control information for the UI component from the second RUIC to the RUIS.

Abstract: Provided is a novel method for amplifying mass spectrometric signals. A novel method for detecting signals of a target molecule includes: allowing a sample, which comprises a target molecule, to contact a gold particle having a surface modified to selectively bind the target molecule, allowing a low molecular weight molecule engrafted to the gold particle generate mass spectrometric signals after the interaction, e.g., binding, between the gold particle and the target molecule, and amplifying the mass spectrometric signals to generate much mass spectrometric signals of the low molecular weight molecule even when trace amounts of the target molecule are present. An assay system using the method and the gold particle prepared in the method are provided. The method amplifies signals of the target molecule without pretreatment of a sample, making it possible to measure the target molecule simply and precisely.

Abstract: An Internet broadcasting system for supporting broadcast services by using Internet Protocol (IP), and more particularly an apparatus and method for providing a user's preferred contents in an Internet broadcasting system are provided. The method of providing contents in an Internet broadcasting system includes searching for contents in an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) according to a user preference, constituting a user channel, based on the searched contents and providing a terminal with the searched contents according to the user channel.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting mobility in a mobile broadcasting system in which Electronic Service Guide (ESG) discovery is required. The mobility support is classified into three ways according to three different aspects. The first way is to provide roaming information for a local IPDC operator having a roaming partner among local IPDC operators. In the second way, a terminal transmits a query message for requesting transmission of information on a particular local IPDC operator, and receives information on the particular local IPDC operator in response thereto. The third way is to provide the terminal with type information of an ESG; an access type of which is classified according to provision of a roaming service. The roaming information, the information on the particular local IPDC operator and the type information of the ESG, which are provided to the terminal from the mobile broadcasting system, can be provided in an ESG bootstrap level.
