Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling a Remote User Interface Server (RUIS) in a Remote User Interface Client (RUIC), wherein the method includes rendering an RUI page for controlling RUISs, receiving an input of a control command for controlling the RUISs from a user through the RUI page, generating a multicast control message for transmitting the input control command in a form of multicast, and transmitting the multicast control message to the RUISs.

Abstract: A method and device for providing a message in a remote User Interface (UI) system are provided. The method includes, if a notification message to be sent to a second device connected to a first device is generated in a remote server or the first device communicating with the remote server, the first device generates access information to the notification message, includes the access information in a notification message event indicating occurrence of the notification message, and sends the notification message event to a plurality of second devices in a multicast transmission. Upon receiving a request for the notification message from the plurality of second devices, the first device sends the notification message to the second device whose IDentifier (ID) is identical to a device ID included in the access information, among the plurality of second devices.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a customizable RUI page. The method includes setting object information including customization capability information and an attribute to an object of a User Interface (UI) to be configured at the RUI page; transmitting the set object information to a UI page-configuring unit to configure the RUI page using the object information; and when request for a user-customized object is received, configuring and transmitting the requested user-customized object according to object information included in the request.

Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for providing a User Interface (UI) component to a second Remote User Interface Client (RUIC) incapable of directly receiving the UI component from a Remote User Interface Server (RUIS) in a first RUIC capable of directly receiving the UI component from the RUIS. In the method, the first RUIC discovers the second RUIC that will receive the UI component. Upon discovering the second RUIC, the first RUIC performs a device capability matching procedure between the RUIS and the second RUIC. After completion of the device capability matching procedure, the first RUIC provides the second RUIC with a UI component received from the RUIS and processed for the second RUIC, and delivers control information for the UI component from the second RUIC to the RUIS.

Abstract: There is provided a novel method for amplifying mass spectrometric signals. More particularly, a novel method for detecting signals of a target molecule includes: i) allowing a test sample, in which it is required to determine whether or not a target molecule is present, to be contact with a gold particle whose surface is modified to selectively bind to the target molecule, ii) allowing a low molecular molecule engrafted to the gold particle to generate mass spectrometric signals after the interaction, such as binding, between the gold particle and the target molecule, and iii) amplifying the mass spectrometric signals by generating a great deal of mass spectrometric signals of the low molecular molecule even in the presence of a trace of the target molecule. Also, the assay system using the method and the gold particle prepared in the method are provided.

A streaming roaming method in a Convergence of Broadcast and Mobile Services (CBMS) system includes generating a Session Description Protocol (SDP), a fragment, or a notification message indicating streaming roaming or handover information, and transmitting the SDP, the fragment, or the notification message to a terminal.

Abstract: An Internet broadcasting system for supporting broadcast services by using Internet Protocol (IP), and more particularly an apparatus and method for providing a user's preferred contents in an Internet broadcasting system are provided. The method of providing contents in an Internet broadcasting system includes searching for contents in an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) according to a user preference, constituting a user channel, based on the searched contents and providing a terminal with the searched contents according to the user channel.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting mobility in a mobile broadcasting system in which Electronic Service Guide (ESG) discovery is required. The mobility support is classified into three ways according to three different aspects. The first way is to provide roaming information for a local IPDC operator having a roaming partner among local IPDC operators. In the second way, a terminal transmits a query message for requesting transmission of information on a particular local IPDC operator, and receives information on the particular local IPDC operator in response thereto. The third way is to provide the terminal with type information of an ESG; an access type of which is classified according to provision of a roaming service. The roaming information, the information on the particular local IPDC operator and the type information of the ESG, which are provided to the terminal from the mobile broadcasting system, can be provided in an ESG bootstrap level.
