  • Publication number: 20090002228
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a portable terminal includes: a display unit that displays a present location of the portable terminal; a GPS receiver that calculates theoretical precision data determined theoretically by geometric arrangement of plural GPS satellites on the basis of location information of the GPS satellites, and performs a positioning process by which positioning data for indicating the present location of the portable terminal is calculated using arrival time of the radio wave; and a control unit that repeats the positioning process performed by the GPS receiver plural times to calculate a cumulative average of the positioning data, and calculates a difference between the cumulative average of the theoretical precision data and the cumulative average of the positioning data to display a cumulative average of the positioning data, when the difference equal to or less than a predetermined value successively continues predetermined number of times, as the present location of the portable termina

  • Publication number: 20080216655
Abstract: The system of the present invention comprises a centripetal cyclone for separating particulate material from a particulate laden gas solids stream. The cyclone comprises a housing defining a conduit extending between an upstream inlet and a downstream outlet. In operation, when a particulate laden gas-solids stream passes through the upstream housing inlet, the particulate laden gas-solids stream is directed through the conduit and at least a portion of the solids in the particulate laden gas-solids stream are subjected to a centripetal force within the conduit.

  • Publication number: 20080051998
Abstract: A mobile terminal according to this invention includes the first calculation module which autonomously calculates its own position based on a GPS signal, and the second calculation module which calculates its own position based on a acquired auxiliary information from a server and the GPS signal. A first control module causes a timer to start a time counting if the second position calculation module accesses the server. When the auxiliary information which satisfies a predetermined condition is not acquired in the time of the timer, the calculation module changes from the second calculation module to the first calculation module. The second control module determines the connection state with the server within the time of the timer. At the time point if the second control module determines that the connection state is an auxiliary information unobtainable state, the calculation module changes from the second calculation module to the first calculation module.

  • Publication number: 20070031889
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for rapidly detecting quinolone-resistant Salmonella spp. The invention also relates to the oligonucleotide primers and probes utilized in the method, which can differentiate mutant strains having one or two single point mutations in gyrA gene or single point mutation in parC gene from wild type strains, respectively. Said primers and probes can be effectively used for detection of nalidixic acid-resistant and/or ciprofloxacin-resistant Salmonella strains.

  • Publication number: 20060271830
Abstract: A test harness development component streamlines the design of regression test harnesses for testing text-based software. An auto-recording tool to automatically record the input and output data in an actual run of the testing session and to automatically generate a test harness. The test harness development component provides an auto-executing tool to automatically run the test harness in subsequent regression tests. The test harness language is used to specify the tests, validation rules of the results, and any other rules for running the test of a test harness. The test harness language is human-readable and emulates the manual test procedures with very little overhead.

  • Publication number: 20060035729
Abstract: A strike trainer includes a main frame adapted to abut against a supporting surface and a striking device mounted on a top portion of the main frame. The strike device includes a weighted element secured received in the top portion of the main frame and a resilient member having a first end engaged to a lower end of the weighted element. A rope has a first end securely connected to a second end of the resilient member and a resilient post having a first end secured in the top portion of the main frame and sleeved on the rope. A ball is secured on a second end of the rope after extending through the resilient post and abuts a second end of the resilient post due to a restitution force of the resilient member.

  • Patent number: 6931260
Abstract: A system selection mode resetting function is newly added as a system selection mode to a mobile communication terminal apparatus having a plurality of system selection modes assigned different priorities. A system selection mode setting unit checks a system selection mode stored in the first memory in response to power-off or subsequent power-on. If the determination result reveals the presence of another mode higher in priority than the mode stored in the first memory, the mode stored in the first memory is reset to the higher-priority mode.

  • Publication number: 20030060191
Abstract: A communication apparatus having a memory configured to store service information relating to the communication apparatus. The service information may include, for example, identification information that generally or uniquely identifies the communication apparatus, information relating to software employed by the communication apparatus, or a combination of the two. The communication apparatus also includes a retrieval unit that retrieves service information from the memory, and provides the retrieved service information to a designated recipient. For example, the retrieval unit may display the retrieved service information to a person using the communication apparatus. Alternately, the retrieval unit may transmit the retrieved service information to another party, such as the service provider for the communication apparatus.
