Abstract: A hanging ornament kit including a flexible planar base having an outer surface that carries a decorative indicia and an inner surface that carries a releasable adhesive. A flexible loop made of a decorative string or ribbon is attached to the base and extends out from the outer decorative surface. A removable protective cover overlies the adhesive and is removed immediately before the adhesive surface is brought into contact with an ornament, such as a small children's toy, to secure the ornament to the base. The flexible loop may then be placed over a branch of a tree to hang the ornament during the holiday season. When the holiday season is over, the base may be peeled from the toy and the toy returned to the child's toy box.
