  • Publication number: 20240205926
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a configuration message that indicates a radio resource allocation and a transmission scheme for one or more first configured grant—small data transfer (CG-SDT) occasions and one or more second CG-SDT occasions. The one or more second CG-SDT occasions are at least partially nested, in time, frequency, or a combination thereof, within the one or more first CG-SDT occasions. The UE may therefore transmit, to the base station, an uplink communication within the one or more first CG-SDT occasions or the one or more second CG-SDT occasions, using the radio resource allocation and the transmission scheme. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Publication number: 20240205885
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a mobile station may select a vehicle-to-anything (V2X) resource from a resource pool partitioned between New Radio (NR) V2X resources and Long Term Evolution (LTE) V2X resources if an NR V2X traffic parameter does not satisfy a traffic threshold, or from a non-partitioned resource pool if the NR V2X traffic parameter satisfies the traffic threshold. The mobile station may transmit a V2X communication in the V2X resource. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20240205713
Abstract: A wireless communication at a user equipment includes selecting one of a first energy detection threshold and a second energy detection threshold, detecting an energy level, determining that the energy level is less than the selected one of the first energy detection threshold and the second energy detection threshold, and transmitting data after determining that the energy level is less than the selected one of the first energy detection threshold and the second energy detection threshold. In some examples, the first energy detection threshold is for a first duplex mode of operation (e.g., a half-duplex mode of operation), and the second energy detection threshold is for a second duplex mode of operation (e.g., a full-duplex mode of operation).

  • Patent number: 12016024
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station and a user equipment (UE) may communicate in a high reliability and low latency communications system (e.g., ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC)). The base station may signal a UE-specific scheduling request (SR) repetition configuration that the UE may utilize to transmit an instantaneous SR when a buffer status report (BSR) is triggered by a new data packet. The UE may repeatedly transmit the SR until a number of repetitions or a time period of repetitions is met or an uplink grant is received from the base station. The SR repetition configuration may include a number of parameters including a repetition setting, power settings, a resource allocation, and an acknowledgement/negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) procedure.

  • Patent number: 12015467
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a coefficients report for compressed channel state information (CSI) feedback. A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a CSI report configuration configuring the UE for reporting precoding matrix information including, a plurality of selected beams L, a frequency domain compression matrix F for each of the L beams at each of a plurality of taps M in the time domain, and a subset of a plurality of linear combination coefficients associated with the frequency domain compression matrices and beams. The UE determines the coefficients based on a first evaluation that is, for each beam, an evaluation of the amplitude of the coefficients across the taps, and a second evaluation and a evaluation that is, for each tap, an evaluation of the amplitude of the linear combination coefficients across the beams. The UE reports the first and second evaluations.

  • Patent number: 12016054
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may receive, from a user equipment (UE), a first random access message of a two-step random access procedure. In some examples, the first random access message may be transmitted by the UE based on one or more cell-specific transmission parameters or cell-specific transmission schemes. The base station may transmit, to the UE, a second random access response message of the two-step random access procedure in response to the first random access message. The second random access response message being transmitted based on one or more cell-specific transmission parameters or cell-specific transmission schemes. Accordingly, the base station and the UE may establish a connection with the UE based on the first random access message and the second random access response message, or the base station can indicate to the UE to return to an inactive mode or idle state.

  • Publication number: 20240195523
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques described herein provide for priority and feedback resources for rate-split transmissions. In rate-splitting approaches, messages destined for various user equipment (UEs) may be split into a common portion and a private portion. The common portion of messages may be transmitted to multiple UEs, and each of the private portions may be transmitted to individual UEs, so that each UE may receive their entire respective messages. The network may assign different feedback resources for the common portion and the private portion of a rate-split transmission. The feedback resource for the common portion may be prior to the feedback resource for the private portion.
