  • Publication number: 20230112322
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) generates a positioning state information (PSI) report that is transmitted in a lower layer channel container, e.g., in the Physical channel or Medium Access Control channel, to a network entity to reduce latency. The PSI report is generated based on a plurality of PSI report elements determined from uplink (UL), downlink (DL) or UL and DL positioning measurements performed by the UE. Each PSI report element includes information related to positioning measurements performed by the UE. The transmission of at least one PSI report element generated by the UE may be postponed and not included in a current PSI report. The PSI report includes one or more indications of postponement, indicating that one or more PSI report elements have been postponed. A serving base station may grant a lower layer channel container for a second PSI report to contain the previously postponed PSI report elements.

  • Publication number: 20230113127
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine a channel state reporting configuration for one or more semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations for communications with a base station. For example, different channel state report configurations may be configured for the UE within the SPS configuration. Additionally, a downlink control information (DCI) associated with the SPS configuration may be used to activate the channel state report configuration. In some cases, different channel state report configurations may be configured for an SPS configuration, and the DCI may include a bit field to indicate which configured channel state report configuration is activated for the SPS configuration. Additionally, if the DCI indicates a release for an SPS configuration, the UE may refrain from transmitting channel state reports with an acknowledgment feedback acknowledging the release.

  • Patent number: 11627563
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Data may be received during transmission time intervals (TTIs) that have a short duration relative to other TTIs. The short-duration TTIs may occur within or overlap a longer duration TTI, such as a subframe. Feedback responsive to the data may be generated and assigned for transmission during an uplink TTI according to a feedback timing or delay, which may be selected to reduce latency or balance the payload size of uplink messages sent during the assigned uplink TTI. Data and feedback assignments in short-duration TTIs may be configured based on a time division duplexing (TDD) configuration for some TTIs (e.g., subframes). TTIs that are a Long Term Evolution (LTE) subframe, an LTE slot, and a duration of two LTE symbol periods may be supported. Portions of special TTIs may be used for transmissions according to shorter-duration TTIs.

  • Patent number: 11626914
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of groups of layers relating to a set of transport blocks (TBs) or a set of code division multiplexing (CDM) groups. The UE may group the layers such that the layers in each group have a minimal difference in signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) between the layers. The UE may select a different demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration for each of the set of groups of layers based on maximizing a communication efficiency metric for each group of layers. The UE may transmit an indication of the selected DMRS configurations for each group of layers to a base station via a field in a report. The base station may accordingly determine a DMRS configuration for each group of layers based on the DMRS configurations indicated by the UE.
