  • Publication number: 20230189221
Abstract: Wireless devices can use various super-slot formats to facilitate wireless communication using half duplex (HD) frequency-division duplex (FDD) (HD-FDD). A super-slot has a duration that can span over multiple slots and/or subframes. A super-slot can include uplink symbols and downlink symbols. The super-slot can include a guard period that separates uplink symbols from downlink symbols in the same super-slot. A super-slot can support signal repetition to provide coverage enhancement. Signal repetition can be combined with frequency hopping in a super-slot to provide diversity gain.

  • Patent number: 11678335
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station in wireless communication with the UE, an allocation of time and frequency resources for an uplink transmission of a first communication type associated with a threshold reliability or latency metric. The UE may monitor a control channel for an uplink preemption indication from the base station, the uplink preemption indication indicating whether the UE should transmit the uplink transmission using the first communication type associated with the threshold reliability or latency metric. • Patent number: 11678273
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for uplink preemption indication. A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving at least one ULPI from a base station (BS) indicating, for each of a plurality of sets of uplink resources, a power level the UE can use for one or more uplink transmissions. The UE can determine one or more power levels indicated by the ULPI for resources allocated for the UE for uplink transmission. The allocated resources may include multiple of the sets of uplink resources. The UE can select the power level to use for uplink transmission using the allocated resources based, at least in part, on the determination. The UE sends or drops the one or more uplink transmissions according to the ULPI. A time duration of the plurality of sets of uplink resources can be longer than a configured ULPI monitoring periodicity.

  • Patent number: 11678364
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first slot format configuration for a first cell associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and a first radio frequency spectrum band that conflicts with a second slot format configuration for a second cell associated with a second RAT and a second radio frequency spectrum band during at least a portion of a transmission time interval (TTI). The UE may determine that the first cell has a priority over the second cell, based on the configured slot formats or based on the radio frequency bands, and may drop a communication on the second cell based on the identified priority. The UE may then communicate during at least a portion of the TTI on the first cell while the UE drops a communication on the second cell.

  • Patent number: 11677520
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for allocation of control channel candidates for multiple component carriers (CCs) in carrier aggregation (CA) communications. A CA limit may correspond to a total number of configurable control channel candidates across multiple CCs. The control channel candidates may include blind decoding (BD) candidates or control channel element (CCE) candidates for channel estimation. A per-CC limit of control channel candidates may correspond to a number of configurable control channel candidates for each CC. An applied set of control channel candidates may be determined by allocating control channel candidates across the multiple CCs based on the CA limit and the per-CC limit. Such techniques may be used in cases where the CCs have a same numerology or mixed numerology, and may also be used for cross-carrier scheduling.

  • Publication number: 20230179382
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a first base station may receive, from one or more aggressor base stations, a first set of reference signals associated with cross-link interference (CLI) channel measurements. The first base station may identify the second base station based on receiving a second set of reference signals from each aggressor base station from the set, where each aggressor base station transmits downlink signals that interfere with uplink signals at the first base station. The first base station may measure the first set of reference signals to obtain a CLI channel measurement and transmit a measurement report indicating the CLI channel measurements. In some examples, the first base station, the second base station, or both may perform one or more CLI mitigation procedures based on the CLI channel measurements.

  • Publication number: 20230179380
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a wireless user equipment (UE) configured to receive a downlink in a network configured for full duplex communication. The UE receives from the network an indication of a maximum rank of an uplink from an interfering, aggressor UE. The UE measures interference of a signal from the aggressor UE, and based on the measurement, determines one or more rank values for the aggressor UE, less than or equal to the maximum rank. The UE may further determine one or more channel parameters for downlink transmissions the UE receives, corresponding to the determined rank values. The UE then transmits a channel state information (CSI) report that includes an indication of at least one of the one or more rank values for the aggressor UE. The CSI report may further include the determined channel parameters. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
