  • Publication number: 20070189734
Abstract: A packet recoding and playback apparatus capable of generating an actual volume of traffic on a network. A packet reception unit receives a packet flowing on the network. A time generator generates a time. A packet storing unit stores the packet received by the packet reception unit, in a memory unit together with the time of reception of the packet. When a packet stored in the memory unit is played on the network, a packet playback unit plays the packet at a timing corresponding to the reception of the packet, based on the time stored together with the packet in the memory unit.

  • Patent number: 7196754
Abstract: By using a plastic substrate as a substrate, a lighter weight, improved shock resistance, and a lower cost are realized, while preventing deterioration of quality of the display image due to expansion and contraction of the substrate. A liquid crystal display apparatus (LCD) is provided with reflective electrodes 13 formed on a plastic substrate 2, color filter layers 14 formed on the reflective electrodes 13, a transparent conductive films 15 electrically connected with the reflective electrodes 13 in an area around the color filter layer 14. In the LCD, a distance between an edge of each reflective electrode 13 and an edge of the color filter layer 14 associated therewith is set based on an amount of expansion and contraction of the substrate 2, which are caused in a step of forming the color filter layers 14 and an amount of expansion and contraction of the substrate 2, which are caused in a step of forming the transparent conductive electrodes 15.

  • Publication number: 20070008815
Abstract: The present invention provides a mixer and a mixing method which enable stable supply of slurry at a high flow rate with foam being uniformly mixed therein, and which enable reduction in consumption of foam to be fed to the slurry. The mixer (10) has a housing (20), a rotary disc (32), a slurry outlet port (45), a slurry delivery conduit (46) and a hollow connector section (4). A foam feeding port (41) is disposed in a predetermined position of an annular wall or the hollow connector section. The foam feeding port feeds the foam to the slurry, immediately before the slurry enters the slurry outlet port, or feeds the foam to the slurry in the hollow connector section. The slurry and the foam mix with each other at the slurry outlet port or on its downstream side. The foam is not substantially subjected to agitation impact of the mixer and a quantity of loss of the foam is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6724358
Abstract: Pseudo-impulse display for reducing after-images during display of moving images in an active matrix type display apparatus. Liquid crystal capacitors are formed at intersections of signal lines and scanning lines to display images. Auxiliary capacitors are provided for keeping a potential difference across the liquid crystal capacitors during display. One of the two electrodes of the auxiliary capacitors is connected to a switching element together with a pixel electrode. After the liquid crystal capacitor and the auxiliary capacitor have been charged with a video signal on the signal lines while the switching element is selectively put into the conducting state with the scanning lines, and after a predetermined time has passed, an auxiliary capacitor driver applies a signal to the other electrode of the auxiliary capacitor, such that the display luminance due to the liquid crystal capacitor is reduced.
