The retaining member is accessible with the use of a tool inserted into the first shackle hole after removal of the first shackle connecting member, and is adapted to be actuated by the tool for disengaging from the lock casing in order to permit removal of the second shackle connecting member from the lock casing.

    Abstract: A lock assembly includes two mounting seats for mounting respectively on two objects. Each mounting seat has a shackle engaging lobe. A slide seat is slidable between the mounting seats for selectively engaging the mounting seats. A cover member is pivoted to the slide seat for pivoting between closed and open positions, and has another shackle engaging lobe. The lobe on the cover member is disposed between the lobes of the mounting seats to permit extension of a padlock shackle through the three lobes when the cover member is in the closed position while the slide seat engages the two mounting seats. The cover member is turned away from the lobes of the mounting seats to permit sliding movement of the slide seat between the mounting seats when the cover member is moved to the open position after removal of the shackle from the lobes.

The sleeve body is formed with a key opening adapted to be aligned with a keyhole of the lock body. The cover flap is formed with a plug adapted to be inserted into the keyhole when the cover flap is moved to the closed position.

    Abstract: A position-recoverable pulling device is adaptable for attachment to a lock bolt of a fitting for coupling two tubular members, and includes an anchoring member with a cam surface, and a coiled pulling member including a plurality of loops which are biased to abut against each other. The coiled pulling member is hooked on the anchoring member, while an outer segment thereof is disposed outboard to the cam surface. A bent portion of the outer segment is slidably contacted by a normal spot of the cam surface and is bent away from the adjacent loop to relieve the biasing action of the loops. Once the coiled pulling member has been swung to move the bent portion from the normal spot to reach a swung spot, the bent portion will be brought to slide back to the normal spot, thereby moving the coiled pulling member back to a normal position.

The latching mechanism has a hollow housing, a latch bolt with a tapered head portion and a body portion mounted slidably in the housing, an actuating block, a connecting member connected to the latch bolt, and a crank arm interconnecting the actuating block and the connecting member. The latch bolt is movable between a first latching position wherein both of the head portion and the body portion extend outwardly of the hollow housing, and a second latching position wherein only the head portion extends outwardly of the hollow housing. The crank arm is turned to an inward position when the latch bolt is in the second latching position. The crank arm is turned to an outward position when the latch bolt is in the first latching position. A spring is mounted in the housing and biases the latch bolt to move to the first latching position.

The front portion cooperates with the lateral walls to form a pair of acoustic port openings at front ends of the first clearances. The left and right walls further have a rear portion that forms a second clearance with the rear side. The second clearance is communicated with and extends between rear ends of the first clearances.
