  • Patent number: 6185966
Abstract: A lock apparatus includes a lock shell that defines a lock core receiving space between front and rear end portions thereof. A cylindrical inner shell is received rotatably in the core receiving space, and has a front chamber and a rear chamber. A stack of annular locking plates are disposed rotatably in the front chamber of the inner shell. The locking plates have central holes which cooperatively define an axial key hole of the lock core unit. An annular drive plate is disposed in the front chamber, and has a key passage hole registered with the central hole of the locking plates, and a radial outward drive member that is bent to extend axially into the rear chamber. A latch actuator has a connecting portion inserted into the core receiving space and into the rear chamber to couple with the inner shell for co-rotation therewith.

  • Patent number: 6039294
Abstract: A support leg has a unitary one-piece molded body which includes an upper fitting portion to be fitted into a vertical side of a partition wall. The upper fitting portion has two opposing vertical plate portions, a plurality of U-shaped bends which extend from the vertical plate portions to bend about a common vertical axis and which are spaced vertically, a plurality of horizontal grooves defined by the adjacent bends, and limit blocks formed on the vertical plate portions within the horizontal grooves. A lower sleeve portion extends downward from the upper fitting portion and has a female screw portion adjacent to the upper fitting portion, and a tubular portion with a bore of uniform cross-section that extends coaxially downward from the female screw portion. A horizontal abutment portion projects from the lower sleeve portion below the upper fitting portion for abutting against the bottom end of the partition wall. The horizontal abutment portion has an engagement groove and an engagement projection.

  • Patent number: 5934121
Abstract: A lock apparatus includes a lock device and a coded key. The lock device has a lock shell and a cylindrical lock core unit received in the lock shell. The lock core unit has an axial key hole and is provided with a latch actuator. The key is extendible into the key hole and is operable so as to permit rotation of the lock core unit relative to the lock shell for moving the latch actuator from a locking position to an unlocking position. The key has a head portion and a shank portion which has a cross-section in the form of a circular sector with first and second planar surfaces that extend along length of the shank portion, and a curved surface that interconnects the first and second planar surfaces and that has an arc length greater than 180.degree.. The shank portion is formed with a plurality of key bit projections and key bit grooves on one of the first and second planar surfaces.

  • Patent number: 5931030
Abstract: A padlock includes a lock base having first and second shackle insert holes and a lock receiving space, a lock unit received in the lock receiving space, a shackle having a longer leg portion which is retained slidably and rotatably in the first shackle insert hole, and a shorter leg portion which is received removably in the second shackle insert hole, and a spring-loaded retaining unit mounted on the lock base and extending into the lock receiving space for engaging the lock unit so as to retain releasably the lock unit in the lock receiving space. The retaining unit is accessible by means of a tool which is inserted into the second shackle insert hole when the shorter leg portion of the shackle is removed from the second shackle insert hole, and is adapted to be actuated by the tool so as to disengage the lock unit in order to permit removal of the lock unit from the lock receiving space.

  • Patent number: 5896761
Abstract: A padlock includes a lock base formed with first and second shackle insert holes, a lock receiving space which is disposed between the first and second shackle insert holes and which has an upper section communicated with the second shackle insert hole, and a ball chamber which extends transversely between the first shackle insert hole and the upper section of the lock receiving space. A lock device is received in the lock receiving space, and has an axially rotatable key-operated lock core which is provided with a plunger formed with a latch projection. A locking unit includes at least one ball member rollingly disposed in the ball chamber adjacent to the plunger. A shackle has longer and shorter leg portions to be received in the first and second shackle insert holes, respectively. The shorter leg portion is formed with a plunger engaging groove for engaging the latch projection of the plunger. The longer leg portion is formed with a ball retaining groove for engaging the locking unit.

  • Patent number: 5722697
Abstract: A fitting is adapted to connect two hoses and includes first and second tubular members which include interconnecting end portions that enable the tubular members to be rotated relative to each other. The first tubular member includes a receiving end portion which receives an insert end portion of the second tubular member. An arrangement of flanges on the respective end portions of the tubular members defines cooperating grooves which receive a C-shaped retaining ring. When two hoses connected by the fitting are twisted relative to each other, the twisted hoses can be straightened by relative rotation of the first and second tubular members, thereby permitting smooth flow of fluid through the fitting.

  • Patent number: 5435604
Abstract: A tube connecting device includes a first tubular connector and a second tubular connector which extends into the first connector and which is formed with an annular peripheral groove that is registered with a pair of radial openings in the first connector. A press arm has one end mounted pivotally to the first connector adjacent to each radial opening and formed with a cam face. Each press arm is formed with a positioning seat in which a positioning rod is provided slidably and is pivotable to a locking position so that the cam face thereof extends into the groove via the respective radial opening. A retaining seat is disposed below each radial opening and is formed with a vertical through-hole into which a first end portion of the positioning rod is biased to extend when the press arm is in the locking position. A locating projection is disposed immediately below each retaining seat.

Each of the press arms is pivotable to a locking position in which the cam face thereof extends into the peripheral groove via the respective radial opening so as to press against the second connector. Each of a pair of retaining units includes a positioning rod which is provided slidably in a positioning bore that is formed in an inner side of a respective press arm. A biasing unit biases the positioning rod so that an end portion of the latter engages a respective retaining seat which projects outwardly from the first connector when the respective press arm is in the locking position.
