Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and apparatus for supplemental FIDO keys in a switching network authentication. The method includes receiving, at a switching node, encrypted data of a payment instrument via a relying party server, the encrypted data to verify an identity of a user account associated with the payment instrument. The switching node then routes the encrypted data to an authentication server for validation. After receiving a response from the authentication server indicating that the identity of the user account is verified, the method includes registering, by the switching node, the client ID with the at least one FIDO key. The client ID and FIDO key are stored in a data storage device for later access to validate the user account when sign in occurs again later on.

Abstract: Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission system between transmitting and receiving devices are provided. In an embodiment, each of the transmitting and receiving devices can contain a master key. The transmitting device can generate a diversified key using the master key, protect a counter value and encrypt data prior to transmitting to the receiving device, which can generate the diversified key based on the master key and can decrypt the data and validate the protected counter value using the diversified key.

The payment application may receive encrypted data from the contactless card and transmit the encrypted data to a server associated with the contactless card. The device may receive a push notification from the server and open an account application associated with the contactless card responsive to selection of the push notification. The account application may receive confirmation to generate the payment account using the contactless card and transmit the confirmation to the server. The device may open the payment application responsive to receiving verification of the encrypted data from the server. The payment application may fill form fields with account data received from the server and generate the payment account using the account data received from the server filled into the form fields.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for secure generation of one-time passcodes using a contactless card. In one example, an operating system (OS) of a device may receive a uniform resource locator (URL) and a cryptogram from a contactless card. The OS may launch an application associated with the URL. The application may transmit the cryptogram to an authentication server. The application may receive a decryption result from the authentication server indicating the authentication server decrypted the cryptogram. Based on the decryption result, the application may request an OTP. The processor may receive an OTP from an OTP generator. The application may receive an input value and compare the input value to a copy of the OTP. The application may determine that the comparison results in a match, and display, based on the determination that the comparison results in the match, one or more attributes of the account.

The server may receive, from the web browser, a request to activate a contactless card, the request including a cryptogram. The server may transition, based on the decryption of the cryptogram, the contactless card from an inactive payment state to an active payment state. The server may transmit, to the web page and based on the transition of the contactless card from the inactivated payment state to the activated payment state, an indication to activate a payment applet of the contactless card.

A computing apparatus is configured to generate a first unique identifier for a contactless card associated with a user account. The apparatus is further caused to generate a message to update a database with a new database entry, the message including the first unique identifier and identity information for the user account. Next, the apparatus is caused to send the message to the database to add the new entry therein, each entry in the database including a recorded unique identifier associated with a corresponding contactless card, each contactless card being associated with one of a plurality of user accounts. The apparatus is further caused to send the first unique identifier to a personalization server to store the first unique identifier in a memory of the first contactless card.
