The browser may generate a uniform resource identifier (URI) directed to the application. The URI may include a merchant identifier, a session identifier, and an action identifier as parameters. A mobile operating system may launch the application based on the URI. The application may authenticate, based on the action identifier parameter of the URI, an account associated with the contactless card based on a cryptogram generated by the contactless card. The application may receive, based on the authentication, payment information associated with the contactless card. A WebView component of the application may access the web page and autofill the payment information into the payment field. The WebView component may then process a transaction based on the autofilled payment information.

In some examples, the techniques provided herein include receiving, at a call center system, a communication from a device associated with a user account. Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and apparatus for supplemental FIDO keys in a switching network authentication. The method includes receiving, at a switching node, encrypted data of a payment instrument via a relying party server, the encrypted data to verify an identity of a user account associated with the payment instrument. The switching node then routes the encrypted data to an authentication server for validation. After receiving a response from the authentication server indicating that the identity of the user account is verified, the method includes registering, by the switching node, the client ID with the at least one FIDO key. The client ID and FIDO key are stored in a data storage device for later access to validate the user account when sign in occurs again later on.
