    Abstract: A cable management system includes an adapter plate disposed between a panel and a cabling component, such as a wiring block or wiring trough. The adapter plate includes a first plurality of fasteners and a first plurality of alignment pins extending orthogonally from a first surface, and second plurality of fasteners and a second plurality of alignment pins extending orthogonally from a second surface. The first plurality of fasteners engage tabs formed on the panel and the second plurality of fasteners engage features formed on the cabling component. The first plurality of alignment pins are disposed to engage alignment apertures formed in the panel. The second plurality of alignment pins are disposed to engage alignment apertures formed in the cabling component. The adapter plate can include an abutment portion disposed to abut the panel and cooperate with the first plurality of fasteners to position the adapter plate relative to the panel.

    Abstract: A universal panel for receiving cabling components is disclosed. The panel includes a plurality of panel segments that are interconnected to form panel modules. The panel modules are interconnected to provide a panel of any desired length, extending from the floor to the ceiling if desired. The first and second alignment features are disposed to engage a second alignment feature and a first alignment feature, respectively, on a second panel segment to form a panel module. Each panel module includes a coupler and a receiver. The coupler of one panel segment is disposed to engage the receiver of the other panel segment. Each of the panel segments further includes a first alignment feature and a second alignment feature. The first alignment feature of one panel segment is disposed to engage the second alignment feature of the other panel segment.

    Abstract: An adjustable modular panel for partially housing data carrying cables and facilitating connection between the cables and communication equipment. The modular panel includes first and second panel portions, each having an engaging edge for mating with each other and for forming between the first and second portions a trough having an area in which the cables are at least partially housed. A fastening device in the panel portions is releasably operable to secure the two panel portions together. Each panel further includes a mounting surface to which connection devices are mountable. In a preferred embodiment, a third panel having a pair of engaging edges is disposed between the first and second panel portions so that the engaging edges of the third panel mate with the engaging edges of the first and second panel portions, thereby expanding the trough area to accommodate an increased number of cables and/or cables having increased dimensions.

A wiring block is formed with two of the hingeable leg subassemblies, with a wiring base affixed to the hingeable leg subassemblies and a wiring strip supported by the wiring base is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A mounting arrangement between connector modules of a double-sided modular connecting block and polarity sensitive current and voltage limiting circuit protection devices. Connector modules having multiple pairs of insulation displacement connecting (IDC) terminals are insertable into a mounting bracket to form the double-sided connecting block. Exclusionary posts are selectively molded into a front and rear side of the connector modules and correspond to each pair of terminals. The posts on the front of a connector module align and mate with a cavity included on a front-mounted current and voltage limiting protection device. Similarly posts molded in a different location on the rear side of the connector module align and mate with a cavity included in a rear-mounted protection module. The corresponding posts and cavities create an exclusionary key and slot interface which prevents circuit protection devices of improper polarity from being inserted within the wrong side of a connector module.

    Abstract: The rewinder has a tubular housing defining an interior chamber which is open at the top and bottom ends and has an inboard annular shoulder and an aperture through the housing wall. A winder with a handle and an annular shoulder is received in the chamber with the handle extending out the bottom. The winder annular shoulder and the chamber form an annular rewinding compartment. The inboard end of the spring is held to the winder while the spring passes through the aperture in the chamber wall and the rewound spring is retained in the compartment by a cover. The rewinder also has an element that adjusts the effective diameter of the compartment.

    Abstract: A shoe tree which is applied externally to an article of footwear has a base with a toe grip provided on the front portion of the base, and a heel grip provided on the rearward portion of the base. The heel grip is received and is vertically movable on a post which extends generally vertically from the rearward base portion. A preferred embodiment utilizes a post having a roughened exterior and a heel grip having a throughbore which is slightly larger than the diameter of the post, which is received within the heel grip throughbore. When the heel grip is positioned on the heel of the footwear, the heel grip is tipped rearwardly under the natural bias of the flexed sole to thereby frictionally engage the throughbore wall with the roughened post exterior to fix the heel grip in place on the post and maintain the footwear sole in a straightened condition.

    Abstract: A frame for ganging a plurality of individually powered rotary lawn mowers together for towing by a vehicle in cutting lawn or the like has T-shaped draft bars which have cross-bar portions pivotally attached to the brackets of skid units mounted to the forward ends of off-the-shelf rotary mowers. Skid units are additionally provided on the rearward end of a first lawn mower, which has the tow bar of its T-shaped draft bar pivotally attached to a vehicle for towing. An intermediate elongated draft bar is attached to the brackets of the first lawn mower's rearward skid units. The tow bars of second and third lawn mowers are attached to the intermediate draft bar on either side of the first lawn mower such that the respective cutting paths of the second and third mowers at least slightly overlap the cutting path of the first lawn mower.

    Abstract: A dynamometer and method for determining the power of a prime mover includes drive means mounted for rotation by a prime mover, and oscillatory means adapted to move in a linear reciprocal manner. Translation means are provided whereby the rotary motion of the drive means is transformed to linear reciprocal movement of the oscillatory means, the force imposed on the oscillatory means by the translation means being directly proportional to the angular force imposed by the drive means on the translation means. Means are further provided for applying a variable resistive force to the oscillatory means in opposition to movement thereof in one direction without generating significant amounts of friction heat, movement in the one direction being caused by the translation of motion from the drive means. The amount of resistive force imposed on the oscillatory means is correlated with the rotary speed of the drive means to determine the torque of the drive means and the power of the prime mover.

    Abstract: A flexible reinforced hose comprising nylon tubing to which a reinforcement (braid or spiral wrapping) of a synthetic or natural fiber is bonded, said tubing having an outer surface plasticized with meta-cresol to which said reinforcement is applied. Prior to application of the reinforcement excess meta-cresol is wiped off from the tubing whereby minimal residual meta-cresol remains in the completed hose. In the case of reinforcing fiber other than nylon, the bond between the reinforcing layer and the nylon tubing is essentially a mechanical bond whereas in the case of nylon reinforcing fiber, the inner surface of the reinforcement is fusion bonded to the outer surface of the tubing.In the method of making the hose herein, nylon tubing passes through a heated meta-cresol bath with excess meta-cresol being wiped off the tubing prior to application for a reinforcement of synthetic or natural fiber on the plasticized outer surface of the tubing containing minimal residual meta-cresol.
