  • Publication number: 20070068472
Abstract: A variable valve operating system for an internal combustion engine that has a plurality of electromagnetic actuators for the intake and exhaust valves in a multi-cylinder engine. This engine does not have the conventional lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, cam, timing chain and gear. Computerized software controls and executes the duration of valve opening and closing, lift, timing, and synchronization of the valve action to the crankshaft. This allows a dynamic operation of the engine to effect various selected performance modes. One mode can be selected for the desired driving condition. An engine built comprising this current invention will require fewer parts, be more reliable and less machine work to manufacture as a savings and benefit to all.

  • Publication number: 20070062605
Abstract: A propane bottle recycler comprising a bottle station, first and second propane collection tank, compressor, liquid propane storage tank, bottle crusher, and crushed bottle storage compartment. The bottle station comprises a bottle manifold and bottle station frame, and the bottle manifold is pivotally connected to the bottle station frame. Propane bottles are placed in receiving cavities in the bottle manifold and held in place with cam levers, and the bottle manifold is raised to a vertical position. The propane drains out of the propane bottles, through propane hoses into a propane manifold, into the first and second collection tanks, and to a compressor, which repressurizes the propane. The propane is then stored in a liquid propane storage tank. The used propane bottles are crushed by the bottle crusher and stored in the crushed bottle storage compartment.

  • Patent number: 6421442
Abstract: A method is provided which reduces post-dial delay in a number portability environment. In particular, a switching office which controls call routing to portable numbers (NPA-NXXs) contains a cache for which location routing number response information may be stored. The processing office concurrently checks the cache for LRN response information corresponding to the dialed number and launches a query to a number portability database. Thus, if the LRN response information in the cache is valid then the call will be routed in the timeliest manner. However, if either the cache does not have any LRN response information or the LRN response information in the cache proves not to be valid then, the switching office will have received the LRN response information from the database more quickly based on the concurrent launching of a query. Therefore, a more timely attempt at establishing a proper connection to the dialed number will occur thereby reducing post-dial delay.

  • Patent number: 6307172
Abstract: A circuit breaker is provided having a particle trap within an interior gas-insulation cavity containing a contact mechanism. The interior cavity is defined within a tank. In an embodiment, the tank has a generally cylindrical tank wall, and the trap is a recessed channel formed by the tank wall along a bottom of the interior cavity. The trap is effective to collect foreign particles present within the tank, thereby reducing breakdown. In an embodiment, portions of the tank wall adjacent to the channel curve or slope downwardly toward the channel to guide particles moving under the influence of gravity, mechanical vibration and gas flow into the trap where they are immobilized in operation due to the low electrical field.
