Patent number: 7198464Abstract: A frame device of a fan comprises a lower frame and a plurality of jut units. The lower frame is hollow. The jut units are disposed on the lower frame in a way of spacing apart from each other and extend upward and slant outward to constitute an entrance such that a plurality of elongated passages are formed for fluid flow. A fan wheel with a plurality of fan blades is associated with the lower frame. When the fan wheel rotates, more fluid can flow in the fan to enhance heat dissipation efficiency and reduce noise.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2004Date of Patent: April 3, 2007Assignee: Asia Vital Component Co., Ltd.Inventor: Wei-Chen Kuo

Patent number: 7113403Abstract: A centrifugal fan type cooling module includes a centrifugal fan and a radiator. The centrifugal fan provides a fan rotor with fan blades and an axial shaft and a fan stator set with an axial core, an upper cover and a frame. The fan blades extend straight forward radially with the outer end of each fan blade has an enlarged curve end part and the rest part of the respective fan blade has a width shorter than the axial shaft. The frame encloses and fits with the top of the radiator and the axial shaft is rotationally joined to the axial core such that a hollow space is formed between the radiator and the fan rotor. Heat from an electronic component is transmited to the radiator and removed outward quickly in all directions by way of upward suction force of the centrifugal fan instead of contacting other electronic members directly.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2004Date of Patent: September 26, 2006Assignee: Asia Vital Component Co., Ltd.Inventors: Wei-Chen Kuo, Chung-Shu Wang, Shou-Te Yu

Publication number: 20060162340Abstract: Provided are chip-based CPU cooling device and cooling method thereof. The cooling device comprises a metal cover adapted to completely cover and contact the CPU, a hollow seat, a thermal electric cooler shaped to fit in the seat and adapted to contact the cover, a heat dissipation member (e.g., fins) enclosed by a housing and mounted on the seat for contacting the thermal electric cooler, a first fan mounted on top of the housing, and a second fan mounted on side of the housing. An optimum heat dissipation can be obtained by running a control program to control on/off of the fans and power of the thermal electric cooler by operating the cooling device in one of a plurality of corresponding temperature ranges of the CPU.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 18, 2005Publication date: July 27, 2006Inventor: Wei-Chen Kuo

Publication number: 20060078418Abstract: A device enhancing steadiness of a fan between stator set and rotor thereof comprises a fan stator set and a fan rotor. The hub part of the fan rotor is joined with a magnetic piece to absorb a metal element attached to the coil of the fan stator to reduce the fan rotor swaying during rotating so as to enhance steadiness of the fan and to reduce generated noise.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 8, 2004Publication date: April 13, 2006Inventor: Wei-Chen Kuo

Publication number: 20050225941Abstract: A centrifugal fan type cooling module includes a centrifugal fan and a radiator. The centrifugal fan provides a fan rotor with fan blades and an axial shaft and a fan stator set with an axial core, an upper cover and a frame. The radiator provides cooling fins and is mounted to the centrifugal fan with the frame. Heat generated by an electronic component and radiated by the radiator can be removed outward quickly in all directions by way of upward suction force of the centrifugal fan and the L shaped fan blades of the centrifugal fan to avoid air flow carrying heat contacting other electronic members directly for enhancing effect of the cooling module.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2004Publication date: October 13, 2005Inventors: Wei-Chen Kuo, Chung-Shu Wang, Shou-Te Yu

Patent number: 6940719Abstract: A fan device a frame includes a frame and a fan blade part. The fan blade part is composed of a fan hub and fan blades. The frame is provided with a driving part being rotationally attached to the fan blade part. The driving part is fixed to the frame with locating parts such that a difference of distance is formed between a facial side of the frame and the joining surface of the driving part. The fan hub is shorter than the fan blade part in height so that air current generated by the fan blades can flow fast without being stagnated under the joining surface of the driving part.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2004Date of Patent: September 6, 2005Assignee: Asia Vital Component Co., Ltd.Inventor: Wei-Chen Kuo

Patent number: 6340292Abstract: The invention provides an anti-fracture fan structure including a hub, a plurality of blades, and a plurality of ribs. The hub has an inner surface formed inside and encircling it. The plurality of blades are arranged outside and around the hub. The plurality of ribs projects from the inner surface of the hub into the inside of the hub. Each of the plurality of ribs is not perpendicular to the inner surface of the hub. Furthermore, the anti-fracture fan further includes a shielding-can situated inside the hub and in contact with the plurality of ribs. Moreover, the hub can be formed of a plastic material and the shielding-can can be formed of a metal material. The ribs can be easily warped when the shielding-can expands.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2000Date of Patent: January 22, 2002Assignee: Delta Electronics, Inc.Inventors: Te-tsai Chuang, Wei-chen Kuo, Kuo-cheng Lin, Wen-shi Huang
