    Abstract: Various apparatuses, systems, methods, and media are disclosed to provide a heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) medium that includes a sacrificial layer and corresponding etching processes to minimize head to media spacing. The medium may include the sacrificial layer and a capping layer where each of the layers is etched to reduce roughness. The sacrificial layer is configured to ensure an etch rate that allows for selective etching and may be deposited on the capping layer and after etching, may remain along grain boundaries of the capping layer. The remaining portions of the sacrificial layer may form a discontinuous layer, including layer segments positioned along grain boundaries of the capping layer. The sacrificial layer may be made of non-magnetic materials different from the materials of the capping layer or materials of an overcoat layer deposited on the etched capping layer.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a test system and a test method for a DRAM module of an INTEL system. The test system includes at least one memory module slot and a processing unit. When performing a test, a memory temperature sensing of a BIOS is turned off through an operating system. Then, an operation register in the INTEL central processing unit that has a function of connecting the DRAM module is detected, and a memory module transfer register determines whether the DRAM module is correctly plugged in. Then, the operation register accesses the EEPROM of the DRAM module, and writes test data to and reads the test data from the EEPROM by switching different storage pages of the EEPROM to complete the test.

    Abstract: A device and a method of flattening recycled carbon fiber material are provided. A main body is provided with two flat plates at an upper and a lower positions corresponding to each other and an ultrasonic unit is disposed on each of the flat plates. While in use, recycled carbon fiber material is placed at the lower flat plate and then at least one ultrasonic probe of the ultrasonic unit is driven to work and vibrate the recycled carbon fiber material into a flat and thin state. After the flattened recycled carbon fiber material being pressurized to form products required, the product has flat and smooth surfaces with special textures. A thickness of the product can be controlled and the product can be thinned according to users' needs, without surface treatment such as grinding, polishing, etc. Thereby production cost is reduced and yield rate of the products is improved.

The method may also involve transforming the probability maps into reconstructed sub-images, stitching together a composite image, and applying the composite image to a feature detector to detect locations of tow ends of the upper ply. The method may also involve comparing the locations to as-designed locations of the tow ends, inspecting the composite structure, and indicating a result of the comparison.
