  • Patent number: 9749174
Abstract: A system and method for dynamically allocating cloud resources includes receiving an application data request from a user and routing the request to a specific cluster of servers. Each application has a record in a database that contains a unique token along with subscriber information. Application requests to the service provider backend, are routed by DNS using an API endpoint name and originating geographic location to appropriate server clusters. When the request reaches the cluster, the load balancer extracts the application token from the URL, looks up the record in the database, and finds the subscriber plan and identity the application is associated with. A load balancer routes the data request to a specific cluster based upon the subscriber plan and identity. The clusters can have different processing speeds and features based upon the subscriber plan with premium plans having better performance than lower end plans.

  • Patent number: 9669005
Abstract: Naringenin is used for preparing products for preventing and/or treating abdominal aortic aneurysms. The products include drugs and/or health care products. The products were tested in two clinically associated abdominal aortic aneurysm disease models: using angiotensin II (1000 ng/kg/min) through subcutaneous submerging pump to induce ApoE knockout mice; and using calcium phosphate (0.5 M) to daub the abdominal aortas of locally induced C57 mice with abdominal aortic aneurysms. Experiments demonstrate that orally administered naringenin can significantly inhibit the onset and development of an abdominal aortic aneurysm in the CaPO4 daubed and AngII submerging pump induced mice. Thus, naringenin can be used in the treatment of patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms.

  • Patent number: 9279778
Abstract: Certain disclosed embodiments concern a method and an apparatus for determining molecular structure. One embodiment comprises producing sample ions from a sample, cooling molecules of the sample ions by either embedding sample ions in superfluid droplets, such as superfluidic helium droplets, or subjecting sample ions in a cooled ion trap, to a selected temperature approaching absolute zero. Plural cooled sample ions confined in a diffraction zone are oriented using a laser, and a diffraction image is produced from oriented sample ions using an electron beam. Molecular structure is determined using collected images from different orientations obtained under different polarization directions of the orientation laser. Embodiments of an apparatus for determining molecular structure also are disclosed. The apparatus operation, data accumulation and processing are controlled by software.
