Additionally, a mobile electronic device configured to measure blood pressure is described that includes a mobile system and a mobile blood pressure monitor as disclosed above. In implementations, a process for measuring blood pressure includes sensing a heart sound with an integrated acoustic device, measuring a blood pulse rate at a peripheral site with an optical sensor, calculating a pulse wave transit time using a sensed heart sound and a measured blood pulse rate, and correlating a blood pressure using the heart sound and the blood pulse rate.
