Abstract: A photosensitive hybrid vesicle is provided, including a photosensitizer-loaded liposome fused with a ??-T exosome via a membrane fusion process. The resulting hybrid vesicle integrates the structural and functional characteristics of both components, retaining functional surface proteins and cytolytic molecules derived from the ??-T exosome while incorporating the photosensitizer from the liposome. Upon exposure to light, the hybrid vesicle generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) for enhanced therapeutic activity, enabling combined exosome-mediated cytolytic effects and photosensitizer-mediated photodynamic therapy in a single nanoscale delivery system.

Abstract: A mobile device having array antenna can be used to communicate with Earth orbiting satellites and base stations on the ground. The display screen of the mobile device has an array antenna capable of transmitting and receiving radio frequency (RF) signals in the range of 0.6 GigaHertz (GHz) to 100 GHz. The configuration of the array antenna, including the number of arrays and the dimension of the arrays, is software programmable by activating and deactivating antenna elements for multiple beams and their beam characteristics.

Abstract: The wireless RF semiconductor system is described for use in wireless communication devices that operate in frequency range from 6 GHz to 100 GHz. The system comprises of at least one RF antenna and at least one active RF component fabricated (or built) on the same semiconductor substrate inside a one single packaged module. The wireless RF semiconductor system is described in a variety of different configurations with its functionality divided up over several single chip circuits. The system simplifies assembly, reduces size and cost, and allows for a quick time to market, while maximizing the RF performance demanded by fixed and mobile 4G, 5G and other wireless standards.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a therapeutic system and method to manage and modulate inflammation by reducing inflammation with enhanced anti-inflammatory measures. Using a light source such as light emitting diodes (LEDs) or a laser light source, the photons can be used to applied to increase the efficacy of medicine on the organ (i.e., disease site) that needs treatment by imparting the light rays only to the site rather than the whole body. The photons produced by the light source increase adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to improve the functional selectivity of G Protein-Coupled Receptors (GPCR). With the increased efficacy of medicines to the disease site, the dosage of medicine can be reduced to minimize the side effects in particular to other parts of the body. The treatment may be used to treat inflammation caused by corona virus of 2019 (COVID-19) infection.

Abstract: Disclosed are polymersome nanoparticles that comprise a combination of drugs: (i) a ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) inhibitor; and (ii) a macropinocytosis inhibitor. Also disclosed is a method of treatment of cancer using the nanoparticles. Disclosed is a method of treatment of tumor having nutrient-deprived microenvironment, such as deficient in amino acids. The disclosure is directed to a combination of drugs for starvation of tumor cells comprising the use of nanoparticles which inhibits degradation of proteins in the tumor cells and prevents internalization of proteins into the tumor cells. Also provided are compositions and methods for affecting cell proliferation, metabolism or sensitization, including proteasome inhibitor therapy for the treatment of disease caused by deregulation of ubiquitin-proteasome systems, in a cell or subject.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to various phototriggered drug release and photoreactions, including reactions generally based on triplet-triplet energy transfer with light excitation at long wavelengths. One aspect of the present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for absorbing energy in a photosensitizer, transferring that energy by triplet-triplet energy transfer to cleave a cleavable or other active moiety causing the release of a releasable moiety. One aspect relates to a composition comprising a photosensitizer which is capable of singlet-to-triplet (S-T) activation at a near-infrared (NIR) wavelength, a cleavable moiety to accept triplet-triplet energy transfer from the photosensitizer in a higher energy state to cause cleavage of the cleavable moiety, and a releasable moiety releasable from the composition upon cleavage of the cleavable moiety. Such systems and methods may be used in various biological or physical applications.

Abstract: The subject invention pertains to photocleavable prodrugs that facilitate the controllable drug delivery to the target sites modulated by light irradiation, including a photocleavable boron-dipyrromethene-derived prodrug and a dye, which achieved both high prodrug loading capacity (˜99%) and efficient light-triggered prodrug activation. The incorporation of the dye not only stabilized the nanoparticles and contributed tumor targeting as usual. but also exhibited degradation after light irradiation and in-situ monitoring of nanoparticle dissociation by fluorescent imaging.

Abstract: An integrated display with antenna is used in wireless communications devices, including mobile phones and Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) devices, to enhance radio frequency coverage while minimizing the overall sized of the wireless communication devices. The antenna's geometry can be precisely determined by manipulating the conductive and dielectric pixels within the display panel. The dielectric material within the display panel can be composed of metamaterials. Additionally, the antenna in the display panel can be structured as an antenna array. This array configuration optimizes mobile device coverage and performance by shaping and directing the radiation pattern of signals.

Abstract: Provided is a singlet oxygen-cleavable anti-VEGF prodrug. Provided is a composition comprising a photosensitizer and biocompatible polymer for the co-assembly of photoactivatable nanoparticles with the singlet oxygen-cleavable anti-VEGF prodrug. This red-light-activatable prodrug composition can be used in methods for the combined anti-angiogenesis and PDT treatment of wet AMD and other diseases, capable of light-controllable drug delivery to the CNV lesions and other disease sites via noninvasive intravenous administration.

Antenna array beamforming techniques can be applied in various wireless systems, including cellular networks, Wi-Fi, radar systems, and satellite communications, to improve coverage, capacity, and link quality. Using antenna arrays, the system can shape and direct the radiation pattern of the transmitted or received signal. Beam steering can steer the main lobe of the radiation pattern in a particular direction.

Abstract: ROS-responsive prodrugs and methods of making thereof are disclosed. These prodrugs can contain two captopril moieties and one cinnamaldehyde moiety that are linked by a thioacetal linking moiety; upon cleavage of the thioacetal linking moiety by ROS, the prodrugs can release two captopril or captopril derivatives and one cinnamaldehyde or cinnamaldehyde derivative. Pharmaceutical formulations in a unit dosage form suitable for the delivery of the prodrugs to a subject in need thereof are disclosed. The pharmaceutical formulations may include one or more additional anti-inflammatory active agents in their free form. The pharmaceutical formulation can be administered by oral administration, parenteral administration, inhalation, mucosal administration, or a combination thereof. Methods for preventing or treating an inflammatory disease or disorder, or treating or ameliorating one or more symptoms associated with an inflammatory disease or disorder in a subject are also disclosed.

Abstract: Provided is a system for drug delivery comprising a modified poly (amidoamine) (“PAMAM”) comprising a photo-cleavable compound bound to one or more active agents to form a nanocomplex. Also provided is a method of treating a subject comprising administering the PAMAM nanocomplex and irradiating the nanocomplex at the target site with a light source. In particular, the modified PAMAM is a DEACM-modified PAMAM or a BODIPY-modified PAMAM. Also provided is a method for screening for PAMAM-coumarin-active agent nanocomplexes.
