    Abstract: The method includes: obtaining, by UE, UE capability information of the UE; if the size of the UE capability information exceeds the maximum tolerance that can be processed by the PDCP layer of the UE, splitting the UE capability information into at least two pieces of part UE capability information, where each piece does not exceed the maximum tolerance that can be processed by the PDCP layer; and reporting at least one piece of part UE capability information to a network side device. According to this method, the UE capability information is split on a UE side, and reported to the network side device for a plurality of times.

The methods and systems can determine a motion estimate disparity based on a comparison of the first and second motion estimates. Based on the motion estimate disparity, the methods and systems can update a weighting factor for a location derivable from the robotic data or a weighting factor for a location derivable from the position sensor data. Based on the updated weighting factor, the methods and systems can determine a location/position estimate for the instrument. The methods and systems can provide increased accuracy for a position estimate in cases where the instrument experiences buckling or hysteresis.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a terminal device, in which a processing module selects one or more normal carriers or special carriers from a first carrier set for an uplink subframe, where the first carrier set includes all carriers in carrier aggregation that are used by the terminal device to send a first uplink subframe; and a sending module cancels sending of the uplink subframe on one or more carriers, where the special carrier is a carrier on which the terminal device sends neither uplink data nor uplink control information in uplink, and the normal carrier is a carrier that is used by the terminal device to send uplink data and/or uplink control information. An uplink subframe on some carriers is rejected, thereby resolving a problem that information such as a downlink channel characteristic of a carrier cannot be obtained when no uplink reference signal is sent on the carrier.
