    Abstract: A manufacturing method of an artificial strip for imitative rattan/willow furniture is to mix unicolor or multicolor polyethylene (PE) with a catalyst that makes the mixture foam after heating. Then, the mixture is extruded via special shaped opening on a shaping mold to perform the artificial strip with chap and crank patterns. Moreover, the color distribution on the artificial strip can be performed evenly or unevenly to create more versatile appearance. Thereby, the artificial strip has a verisimilitude texture approximately like the natural willow or rattan strips to make the manufactured imitative rattan/willow furniture have excellent appearance.

    Abstract: Improved voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) circuits are disclosed. A symmetrical voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) system according to the embodiments of the present invention comprises a frequency tuning circuit containing one or more varactors for receiving a predetermined tuning signal and a frequency tuning bias signal for altering capacitances of the varactors, a modulation circuit coupled in parallel with the frequency tuning circuit containing one or more varactors for modulating one or more outputs, and a core circuit coupled in a parallel with the tuning circuit and the modulation circuit for providing an oscillation mechanism, wherein the core circuit has an inductance module coupled in a parallel fashion with the frequency tuning circuit and the modulation circuit, wherein circuit elements of the VCO system are symmetrically arranged for increasing oscillation efficiency thereof and the varactors are tuned to deliver the output at an output frequency.

Lastly, the strip is reeled up to achieve an annular bundle.     Abstract: A safety device of a lighter, which has simple structure and more truly provides safety effect. The wheel has a rotary shaft movably fitted in a wedge hole of the base seat. The wheel is movable and rotatable for abrading a firestone. Several ratchets are formed on a wall of the wedge hole. The rotary shaft is formed with annularly arranged ratchets. The rotary shaft can be moved within the wedge hole to selectively engage the ratchets of the rotary shaft with the ratchets of the wedge hole or disengage the ratchets of the rotary shaft from the ratchets of the wedge hole. In a disengaged state, the wheel is rotatable for igniting gas.

    Abstract: A safety lock mechanism of a lighter, including a lighter main body, a press key and a safety shift plate. A gas container for containing gas and an ignition unit are disposed in the lighter main body. The press key is disposed on upper side of the ignition unit. A top side of the press key is formed with a slot perpendicular to a pressing direction of the press key. The safety shift plate is slidably disposed in the slot of the press key. The safety shift plate is pushed by a resilient member, whereby in normal state, one end of the safety shift plate extends into a dent of the lighter main body to restrict the press key from being pressed down. Under such circumstance, the lighter is in a locked safety state. When a user desires to ignite the gas, the user only needs to first outward push the safety shift plate along the slot with a finger. At this time, the end of the safety shift plate is extracted from the dent and the press key is released from the restriction.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a remote control video recording and playing system, and its method, comprising: at least a video program broadcasting system, a video server, and a client computer. A video program broadcasting system includes a channel sending video programs through the broadcasting network to the computers at the client's end. The said video server is able to receive the user instructions, and to send the stored digital videos to the computer at the client end, both through the internet. A client computer is used for selecting channels, and sending instructions to the video server. The said client computer is able to receive the video programs broadcasted through the network, and record a plurality of digital video programs in the video server, each requested with a separate instruction, sent by the said video server through the internet simultaneously.

    Abstract: A scanning apparatus comprises a transparent housing, a driving means arranged within the transparent housing, and an image sensor arranged within the transparent housing and driven by the driving means. The upper surface and the lower surface of the transparent housing are marked to define a transparent upper window and a transparent lower window. The image sensor comprises a contact image sensor and a supporting box for housing the contact image sensor. The small article to be scanned is facedown placed on the transparent upper window of the scanning apparatus when the scanning apparatus is in erect arrangement. The large article to be scanned is faced up placed and the user can align the scanning region through the transparent upper window and lower window. Therefore, the inventive scanning apparatus is applicable to scan article of both large and small size, and the transparent upper window and lower window facilitate the alignment of scanner for user for entire scanning or partial scanning of an article.

    Abstract: A system, modules, means, and computer readable media for and a method of compensating disturbances that cause track shape irregularities on a disc in a disc drive during a disc servo-writing process performed by a servo-writer are disclosed. The disturbances substantially attributable to a nonrepeatable runout (NRRO) are present during the servo-writing process. A substantial component of the NRRO is a cage frequency generated by a spindle motor mechanism in the disc drive. A reference cage frequency is determined during a servo-writing process by using a position sensor. Then a feed-forward input signal is determined based at least on the reference cage frequency during the servo-writing process. In addition, the feed-forward input signal is feed-forwardly transmitted to the servo-writer.

    Abstract: A control circuit and method for managing multicast packets is implemented in a network switch to improve the efficiency of bandwidth utilization. The control circuit comprises an internal control buffer which is subdivided into multiple storage sections. Each storage section consists of buffer-control records including valid bit, counter value, control pointer, and tag number. When the tag number of a coming multicast packet indicates that the internal control buffer is full, the control data of the coming multicast packet will be copied to an external control memory. On the other hand, the control data of the coming multicast packet will be directly stored in the control buffer if otherwise. After each multicast packet transmission, the control data in the control buffer can be accessed and updated. Consequently, the traffic between the network switch and the external memories can be reduced to the minimum, thereby to improve the efficiency of the bandwidth utilization.

The viewing panel is fitted to the lower annular edge portion to cover the lower annular opening so as to define a viewing area through which the first size indicating mark is visible.
