    Abstract: A polycarbonate composition comprises: a copolycarbonate comprising repeating units derived from a cyclohexylidene-bridged bisphenol; and an auxiliary polycarbonate comprising a branched homopolycarbonate; a poly(1,4-cyclohexanedimethylene terephthalate), a copolycarbonate derived from an isophorylidene-bridged bisphenol, and optionally a poly(alkylene cyclohexanedicarboxylate), poly(carbonate siloxane) having a siloxane content of less than 20 wt % based on the total weight of the poly(carbonatesiloxane), poly(aliphatic ester-carbonate) comprising bisphenol A carbonate units and C6-12 dicarboxy ester units; or a combination thereof. The polycarbonate compositions have one or more of a transparency of 89% or greater on 2.5 mm plaques according to ASTM-D1003-00; and a heat deformation temperature of at least 111° C., or at least 127° C. at 0.45 MPa or at least 98° C., or at least 110° C. at 1.82 MPa as determined on 3.18 mm bars per ASTM D648.

    Abstract: A method for preparing a sustained-release antibacterial film includes: (1) mixing a cyclodextrin metal-organic framework (CD-MOF) material with a silver nitrate short-chain alcohol solution to prepare an intermediate material A; (2) mixing the intermediate material A with a caffeic acid short-chain alcohol solution to prepare an intermediate material B; (3) dispersing the intermediate material B in a solvent, adding a polydimethylsiloxane main agent and a PDMS auxiliary agent in sequence, and mixing well by stirring to obtain a casting solution; and (4) coating the casting solution on a film support material, conducting vacuum drying, and peeling off a film from the film support material to obtain the sustained-release antibacterial film. A mixed matrix-based film material in which the CD-MOF and the PDMS are physically blended is prepared based on CD-MOF and PDMS for the first time, and may be used in application researches of food, environment and other fields.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods for characterizing atherosclerotic plaque tissues in spectral computed tomography (CT). This invention employs dedicated spectral image reconstruction and vessel landmark-based fully motion correction algorithms to ensure high-quality spectral CT images. By quantifying the spectral attenuation characteristics of carotid plaque tissues and employing these attenuation values as discriminative filters across multiple spectral CT energy levels, the present invention enables a precise and consistent annotation process across various arteries at different body sites. This method handles a broad spectrum of plaque tissues and contrast variations observed across different spectral energy levels. This invention provides a robust and data-driven framework for characterizing atherosclerotic plaque tissues within the human arterial system, leveraging the unique tissue differentiation capabilities of spectral CT to enhance the accuracy and comprehensiveness of plaque tissue characterization.
